On June 26, Nintendo announced that Super Mario Strikers Would be added to Nintendo Switch online service via the Gamecube app on July 3. Super Mario Strikers will be the fourth playable game on the Gamecube app, which is exclusively available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with Expansion Pack upgrade.
Originally released at the end of 2005, Super Mario Strikers Is a five-five football title created by Nintendo and the next level game. Each team is represented by a captain like Mario, Luigi or Peach, three “sidekick” characters such as Toad and Koopa and a criticism as goalkeeper. Along with traditional football games, players can also collect iconic Mario Franchise-Power-ups such as the mushroom or star to get an advantage during a match. Super Mario Strikers also keeps the difference being the last game in Mario Franchise is released on Gamecube in North America and Japan, as the Wii console was released the following year.

However, access to the Gamecube app also requires Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to upgrade the expansion package on its account.

However, the popularity of Super Mario Strikers Has noticed clones that want to exploit the equality of franchise. Back in January 2025, an Xbox title with the name Mariostro Strikers: Soccer League was briefly available on Microsoft's shop front before he was taken down days later. Along with the similar name, the game's key art contained a character that carried a striking resemblance to Mario. It is unclear if Microsoft or Nintendo were responsible for the game's removal from the Xbox store.
