All Research Table Tiers in Solarpunk

In Solarpunk, the Research Table is a placeable structure where players can unlock new recipes in the game by researching them. The Research Table can be upgraded nine times, with each tier unlocking a new batch of recipes that players can research.

This guide covers all upgrade tiers of the Research Table, how players can unlock these tiers, and all materials required to research the recipes that become available as a result. Here are the details.

How to Get and Use Solar Panels in Solarpunk

In Solarpunk, Solar Panels are one of the very first sources of energy players can research and unlock. Here’s how they work.

Research Table (Tier 1)

Research	Requirement	What it Unlocks
Rain Collector		Structure that collects rainwater when placed outdoors. Used as a pure water source.
Well	Stone x3 Wood x2 Stick x2	Structure that provides water for crops. Cannot be drunk directly.
Chest		Storage device with 12 slots.
Beehive		Structure that collects Beeswax from Bees. Works automatically.
Bed	Wood x2 Stick x2 Cloth x1	Bed that you can sleep on. Can be used to turn night into day instantly.
Unlock Tier 2	Build-Hammer x1 Beeswax x1	Research Table Tier 2

Research Table Tier 1 is automatically unlocked when you first build a Research Table as part of Solarpunk’s tutorial. To do this, you’ll need to complete the following steps:

Make an Axe.
Cut down trees until you get Wood x8.
Collect Cotton x1.
Build a Crafting Table.
Turn the Cotton x1 into Cloth x1 at the Crafting Table.
Build a Research Table at the Crafting Table and place it on the ground.

Upon interacting with the Research Table, you’ll see all available recipes for Tier 1.

Research Table (Tier 2)

Map		Ability to use the map anywhere in the world.
Bottle		Collects water for later consumption.

Airship Dock		This is where you build your Airship.
Storage Shelves		Storage Shelves (Decorations) You can place chests inside these shelves.
Sign & Map Markers		Wall Sign: Can be used to name chests or placed on walls. Standing Sign Map Marker: Can be placed anywhere in the world and it will show up when using the map.
Magnetic Fishing Rod	Cloth x1 Iron x1 Stick x1	Unlocks a Fishing Rod tool that allows you to fish out resources from bodies of water. Does not require reeling.
Deco Couches & Carpets	Cloth x2 Cotton x4 Wood x2	Couch (6 variants) Carpets (8 variants)

Wax Briquette		The best fuel to use at the Furnace. Can be crafted at the Crafting Table. in the Resources tab.

Deco Plants Pack (Large)		Unlocks new variants of Plants under Decorations.

Trashcan		Purely decorative structure. Does not dispose of anything.
Foodbasket	Egg x1 Sheep’s Milk x1 Truffle x1	You can sell this to the Merchant using the Postbox to get 500 tickets, which can be used to purchase items at the Vending Machine. This item can only be researched after you unlock Research Table Tier 8.

Growbox		These can be used as a replacement for tilled soil.
Decorative Plates & Pots & Pans	Iron x2 Bricks x1 Sticks x1	The main entry is called Pans, and Pots and Plates are its alternative recipes. Pot and Pan are required to build a Kitchen Counter.
Cooking	Bricks x5 Wood x2 Iron x2	Kitchen Counter Outdoor Kitchen These stations are required to cook advanced food items like Berry Cake and Vegetable Pizza.
Deco Outdoor Furniture		Arch (Wood) Pergola Parasol Swing
Seedspack	Raspberry x1 Cotton x1 Wheat x1 Carrot x1 Sunflower x1	Unlocks the ability to make your own Seeds at the Crafting Table. This is the only way to expand farm production beyond normal limits.
Pig Shelter		This is required to farm pigs.
