What to do after beating the game in Pokemon Legends: ZA

Pokemon Legends: ZA is a long game, and if you thought you were done with the game once the main story was done, think again. The content continues long after the main story is finished. Whether you want to become the strongest trainer or finish your pokedex, there is more to the story.

Legendaries are also locked to the endgame, meaning if you want to get your hands on Zygarde and his lot, you'll have to put in a bit more effort. AZ's Floette is also exclusive to the postgame as well as some unique pokemon you might not have expected. All in all, putting in a few more hours after the credit build is a rewarding experience.

Free Lucario

The player receives Korrina's Lucario from AZ in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

When you start the post-game content, remember to check your hotel room table when you start the game after the credits. It should have a pokeball with a Level 50 Lucario in it and a letter from AZ.

This Lucario has OT name: Korrinaimplying that this is the same pokemon that worked as partner of the Fighting-type gym leader from X and Y (or is somehow related to it). While he asks you to show this Lucario to Korrina, we couldn't find her after the match and will update if we do. It is very likely she can be found in upcoming DLC.

The Infinite Royale

The player is paired with Zach in the Infinite Royale Reward match in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

Once you grant President Jet your wish, you can start Infinite Royale every evening. Instead of a normal Battle Zone there will be two present, giving you some flexibility in where you want to collect your points.

Collect 50,000 pointsand you will earn the Challenger's Ticket and right to a reward match. Each of these matches will come give super rare items such as vitamins, EXP candies and capsules. After 15 matches you get AZ's Floette.

Each of these matches are scaled as their original selves during ZA Battle Royale. For example, Zach the Taxi Driver returns as your first matchup and will battle with level 10 pokemon.

Wildlife area 20

The player battles Alpha Goodra under the Prism Tower with Meganium in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

In the aftermath, Prism Tower will be transformed into a unique Wild Area. This is a great place to look for the starters you didn't choose, as well as super rare evolved pokemon such as Lucario, Gardevoir and Malamar.

Every day cycle, there will also be two alpha pokemon under the prism tower. These pokemon are always rare, fully developed and very strong. Pokemon we've encountered during the tower include:

  • This one

  • Glaceon

  • Skirmish

  • Dragonite

  • Goodness

  • Scoliped

Catch Legendary Pokemon: Epilogue Story Mission

The player finds Xerneas in the grass in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

After you complete your first Infinite Royale Reward Matchyou get a phone call from Lida. Return to Hotel Zand you will get the quests required to start catching the following pokemon:

  • Xerneas: Defeat (or capture) three specific Alpha Pokémon
  • Yveltal: Defeat three Rogue Mega Evolution rematches
  • Zygarde: Defeat the final boss and then Zygarde in a Mega Evolution battle

Rogue Mega Evolution rematches

The player rematches Rogue Mega Tyranitar with Mega Meganium in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

After starting your search for the legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal, you will unlock the ability to challenge the old Rogue Mega Evolutions you fought once in simulations. This can be done at Quasartico Inc. to the left of reception via Vinnie.

These mega evolutions will all be Level 70 and will not simulate your other Team MZ members as help. You have to fight them fairly one-on-one battles.

The Secret Final Boss Battle

Putting things together

The player is challenged to a pikachu battle in side quest 107 of Pokemon Legends: ZA.

There are probably some side missions you didn't complete during the main part of the story. The the last ones are also not available until after the match anyway, meaning you'll have to wait until after those credits roll to get your reward for your efforts.

While there is no reward for 100 percent completion of your side questseach side quest itself comes with its own reward. Some of the latest game missions reward Alolan pokemon such as the Alolan Raichu and unique rare items such as Light Ball. Definitely worth the effort, if you ask us.

Mable calls the player her star scientist in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

In addition, you should take the time to clear Mable's research mission. By doing that, you will get the shiny charm as a reward. This item greatly increases the odds of encountering shiny pokemon.

Although you can trade your shiny pokemon through Pokemon HOME, you cannot change them to previous games.
