Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 players have been in a bit of an uproar over the past few days, mostly due to a series of unpopular nerfs included in Patch 4.0 released last week. Tempers have risen since that day, with players starting to vent their frustrations over nerfs and annoying enemies like Zoanthropes on social media, while some bombarded the game's Steam page with negative reviews.
Thankfully, it seems that all the noise and drama was enough to get the attention of developer Saber Interactive, who have now announced that an emergency patch will be released on Thursday in an attempt to address some of the recent complaints. Space Marine 2 director Dmitriy Grigorenko announced the arrival of this update via some patch notes on the Space Marine subreddit, along with a lengthy statement thanking fans for their feedback.
Grigorenko also took the opportunity to announce that Space Marine 2 will be getting public test servers in the near future, likely in an effort to prevent major disruptions like the one that has occurred over the past few days from happening at all. He claims that these servers will allow players to “try out major balancing updates and make your voices heard” before they go public, and that they will be introduced sometime in early 2025.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 sees you once again fighting for the Emperor, against armies of Tyranid aliens. You must fight to ensure the empire's survival in the face of extinction.
