Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Campaign Making Big Departure from Cold War
Days before the official release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the developers confirm that the game's campaign mode will have a different approach.
Ahead of its market debut, Activision launched a new campaign that allows Call of Duty fans to earn multiple Double XP tokens, which they will be able to claim in-game at launch. To do so, they must go to X, formerly Twitter, and reply to the official @CallOfDuty account's new promo tweet with their Activision ID and the #BlackOps6 hashtag. Doing so will give them a single double XP token that lasts for an hour. This process can be repeated up to three times.
How to get Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Pre-Release bonuses
- Sign in to Twitter.
- Respond to @CallOfDuty's latest promo tweet with your Activision ID and hashtags #BlackOps6.
- Repeat step two up to two more times.
- Claim up to three 1-hour Double XP tokens and digital stickers in CoD: Black Ops 6 at launch.
The one-hour Double XP Tokens offered as part of the promotion provide boosts to Player XP, Weapon XP and BattlePass XP, with one of each included. If you reply to the promo tweet in the correct format, you will receive an automatic reply confirming that another in-game reward has been added to one's account, in addition to revealing which one it is. Each response will also include a personalized sticker with the marketing campaign's graphics and even an Activision ID. The Call of Duty The Twitter account will inform players when they have reached the maximum number of requests, in addition to warning them if their provided ID was not found.
As fans who attempt to submit four or more requests are being informed that they have reached their request limit “today”, it is possible that this promotion could also return tomorrow, October 24th. Activision, for its part, has yet to say how long it intends to run it. Tying in-game rewards to multiple replies has done wonders for the post's engagement, with the tweet already seen over a million times as of early afternoon ET on October 23, less than two hours after it went live. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is also currently running a Little Caesars promotion.
Activision is expected to give away many more Black Ops 6 Double XP tokens for the next 12 months. The shooter himself will be the first Call of Duty title to release day one on Xbox Game Pass, which could help it achieve record early adopters.
