Pokémon GO has announced the debut of the Dynamax Drilbur in a new event that will run from November 15-17. The 3rd of September Pokémon GO kicked off Season 16 and ended a long wait for players by finally adding Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon to the game.
The Dynamax forms specifically debuted with the addition of a new Special Research, which rewarded players with Wooloo and Skwovet encounters in the new raids called Max Battles. A few days later, Niantic added the Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle Dynamax variants via the GO Big event, with the Dynamax Beldum and its evolutions becoming available in the Psychic Spectacular event. The Dynamax forms of Scorbunny, Grookey, Sobble and Falinks debuted in October, with Dynamax Gastly and its evolution taking the spotlight in the Halloween event.

The Simply Groundbreaking event will increase play in the wild of 11 Pokémon, such as Jigglypuff, Alolan Digglet and Kricketot, with trainers able to find their shiny counterparts. New field research tasks will be released, rewarding Drilbur encounters, Drilbur Candy and Drilbur Candy XL, the latter two items necessary for Pokémon GO players to evolve the monster into Excadrill. Additionally, trainers level 31 and above will have twice the probability of receiving Candy XL when catching Pokemon.
