A spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei franchise that has since taken on a life of its own, Personais one of the best JRPG series of all time. Starting with Personas 3began the games juggling slice-of-life and simulator elements with dungeon-crawling, relationship-building, and some of the best turn-based combat in the genres. Persona also made a name for itself with strong storytelling and well-written characters out of the gate, lending the series perfectly to anime adaptations.
