Halo: Campaign Evolved is more than just an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the shooter classic. It infuses the experience with a bunch of new collectibles, quality of life improvements, along with its fair share of unexpected surprises. It's awesome, and there's a secret early on that also gives you a trophy/achievement; it's time to take over the Pillar of Autumn.
One of the dumbest easter eggs in the original Halo involves immediately opening fire on Captain Keyes the second he hands you his unloaded gun, which you have to find some ammo for first. But the second he drops dead, the entire ship turns on you as Cortana calls in an octopus of marines to take you down. Master Chief is not the hero he is supposed to be. But we're here to talk about the trophy, and here's how to get it.
How to earn the This Is My Ship Now trophy/achievement
The official description for this trophy reads as “Eliminate Captain Keyes and capture his six Avenging Marines in the Autumn Observation Pen.” Killing the captain is pretty obvious. Chief can take him down with a few melees or a few bullets to the headand you will need be ready for a fight the second they drop dead.
You'll get killed very quickly here if you're not careful, so when you try to unlock this trophy, I would recommend playing on Easy difficulty so you can control the marines.
As for the observation pen, it is a small area located directly below the cockpit and dual pilots. You will find one ladder leads down to it and will need to lure in any marines called in after Keye's death.
How to Force Marines into the Observation Pen
Unfortunately, e.ghey will not follow you directly into the hole and will relentlessly open fire on the boss on sight. My advice is to peek around the corner and slowly try to split them. It is common for a couple of marines to stay outside the bridge while a few more will charge into the map room.
A skull can also be found in the observation pen, so be sure to go down there and grab it if you haven't already.
None of the invading marines can be killed, so my advice is to lure them individually towards the observation pen, then use a combination of melee attacks and push their models towards the desired location with your own movements. They tend to slide, which becomes your secret weapon here.
There are ledges on either side of the pen, and I found the most success through hitting them consistently with melee attacks until a more powerful blow sent them flying into the pit.
It is also possible to stand on top of this ledge and hit them from abovemaking it a bit harder to take damage and also easier to make sure the physics system is on your side.
Once all six marines are in the hole, the trophy/achievement will appear and you remain the enemy of humanity. Remember you must reload your game to progress at this time.
