One of the first “life goals” you will have in Paralives is called 'Discover the City' and has five different objectives to complete to tick it off. While some are self-explanatory, others, like making a donation to the museum, are less so. If you are struggling to figure out how to make a donation to the museum i Paralivesor what items you get to donate, I have everything you need to know on the subject below. So, without further ado, let's dive into it.

Make a donation to the museum in Paralives
To donate an item to the museum, visit the museum near the town hall and library and interact with a blue box located just outside the entrance.
There is another blue donation box inside the museum, but you have to go past the first one to reach it.
This will open the 'Donate Item' menu, where you can select an item from your inventory store on the left and choose to donate it to the museum. Once you do, the green progress bar on the right of this screen will fill up a bit more, with rewards unlocked when the numbered milestones are reached.
The catch here is that you can't just donate any old thing to the museum. I tried donating a random wall clock only to see it grayed out as you can see in the screenshots in this guide. Instead, you have to specifically look for gems, mushrooms, or artifacts.
Where to find gems, mushrooms and artifacts to donate to the museum
These are the only three types of items that can be donated to the museum, and each of them is usually found somewhere in the city. I have usually found that gems can be found on the outskirts of town and in my experience it was by rock walls or rock walls on the ground.
For mushrooms, I found a fly agaric out on the forest path near the field with the cows in, also on the outskirts of town. These usually seem to be more in areas where there are lots of trees and other flora and fauna around.
Finally, buried artifacts can seemingly be found in all sorts of random areas away from the built-up center of the city. However, their locations seem to be a bit more random and are generally a bit harder to find, as the pile of dirt that indicates where something is buried underground is much harder to see than a mushroom or gem sitting on the ground.
