After completing Kelpie's Playground in Tomorrow's tideunlocks access to Wrecklandia. It's a place run by the morally questionable Obin, so don't expect it to be a healthy place. This is where Mereids are taken to be slaughtered and sold as food. So the fact that Eyla's Mereid friend, Kelpie, has been brought there is cause for concern.
You visit the place in an attempt to save the creature. But since this is Tides of Tomorrow, there are two versions of the level. One lets you try to save Kelpie, while another lets you investigate what happened to her. This walkthrough covers both scenarios.
How to enter Wrecklandia
As you approach the gate to Wrecklandia, you are stopped by a guard. You have to beat them in a game of “Paper, Scissors, Stone” to be admitted.
The game works just like Rock, Paper, Scissors. But unlike the real game, you don't have to leave the winner to chance.
Use your vision to determine what the guard plans to playthen use the opposite to defeat them. It feels like everyone knows the rules of the game, but just in case, here's what you should choose to do based on what they do:
- If they use stone – Use paper
- If they use paper – use scissors
- If they use scissors – use rock
Beating them will enter Wrecklandia.
Tides Of Tomorrow: Complete Guide to Events
There are many different sea events that you can get while playing Tides Of Tomorrow, and here is the best way to tackle each of them.
Find Obin or Eyla
Depending on what scenario the game gives you, you will either face Obin or Eyla on the right side of the platform outside the markets.
No matter who you meet, you will have a conversation with them like you enter the fish market.
How to get into the slaughterhouse
Once you are at the fish market you will be instructed to do so enter the slaughterhouse. If you are with Eyla, she will lead you to the door. If you're with Obin, you can find the door itself on the opposite wall where you enter.
However, the door will be locked, and you must find the key.
The key is held by Bonewhich is inside the Fish Market, on the opposite wall from the slaughterhouse door.
You can use your vision to find him as the other Tidewalker will have spoken to him.
When you ask for the key, he says you need a password. If you're with Obin, you can just go ask him for it. Otherwise, use your vision to hear the password Obin gave to the last Tidewalker.
Tell Ben the password to get the key. Then you can use it to open the door.
How to sneak through the slaughterhouse
Even if you work for Obin, you have to sneak through the slaughterhouse. Start by entering the place then go up to the green trash can.
If you are with Eyla, talk to her. If she's not there, use your vision to see what she's saying.
In both scenarios you will be instructed to drop the fish from the roof. To do that, you must first go right and go between the two conveyor belts.
There is a guard watching them, though his view is sometimes blocked by passing panes. So use one of the boxes as a mobile cover to help you sneak past.
Next, go to the ladder by crawling under the conveyor belt. Climb up to reach another assembly line.
Jump on one of the crates and ride it for a while until you see an opening on the catwalk to the left. Skip to it.
You can also crouch between two boxes to move around on the conveyor belt.
From where you are now you can enter the large catwalk at the top of the room. Once you're on the catwalk, you have to walk over a very unstable platform. Use your vision to see which path the other Tidewalker took and follow it to avoid falling to your death.
When you get to the other side, sabotage the machine that has the yellow cable connected to it. This will cause the fish to release, creating a large diversion. Then, climb down and go through the door.
Mereid Pen
The next room you enter is Mereid Pen.
If you work for Obina lot of this episode is just you using your vision to see what happened to Eyla and the other Tidewalker. Then you leave through the door in the other part of the pen to finds Eyla being grabbed by a guard.
In the second scenario, you talk to Eyla and watch Kelpie get caught. Run into the other part of the room with Eyla, then go to the yellow button on the far right of the room. After a while, Eyla will go to the nearest one, and you will be able to inspect your button.
Surrender or free the Kelpie
After inspecting your button, a guard will grab Eyla and threaten to throw her into the water if you don't move from the button. She wants you to ignore him and free Kelpie instead of saving her. These are the two options and their consequences:
- give up – Kelpie is sacrificed, and Elya is not pushed into the water. Instead, the two of you leave and Eyla is upset about the situation. This means you won't see the Kelpie underwater later in the game.
- Free Kelpie – Kelpie gets to walk free, which means you'll see her underwater later in the game. However, Eyla gets pushed into the sea and you jump in after her. She survives, but her plastemia has worsened.
Anyway, you have a short conversation with Eyla afterwards before you return to your boat to end the level.
Conversation with Obin
In the scenario where you work with Obin, you get a final scene with him and Eyla. He demands to know if Eyla was involved in releasing Kelpie. You can tell him what you know, then you get two final options:
- She is guilty – If you trick Eyla and claim her guilt, Obin will give you some Ozen. Still, Eyla is displeased with you, and she is thrown into the water, worsening her Plastemia. But you can just leave.
- She is innocent – If you defend Eyla and say she is innocent, you will be pushed into the water. Then you have a debriefing with Eyla before heading to your boat to leave.
