Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will not have wall driving, despite previous leaks
Activision shuts down rumors that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will bring back wall driving, but reveals some important new movement changes.
In an unusual Gaffe on June 26, the Xbox version of the Call of Duty HQ app seems to have leaked any charging screens from an internal Black Ops 7 Playtest, which may or may not have happened. The images that are currently circulating social media reveal several previously unreported times about the upcoming title, including its assumed inclusion of a new game mode called Skirmish.
Black Ops 7 Skirmish Mode promises lens -driven play on a big map
Skirmish is described as a multiplayer experience in which two teams with 20 players collide in an objective-driven gameplay loop “over a large map.” The goals include destroying payloads, transferring valuable data and capturing interesting points. One of the leaked loading screens explicitly mentions wing costume use as part of the new Customs calls Location, further emphasizes the map on the map – or maps – Skirr takes place.
The “closed internal play test” (CIP) referred to in the leaked loading screens may not have taken place yet. One of the leaked assets says CIP is scheduled for a window on Friday- Sunday. Although no specific dates are provided, this may refer to the coming period 27-29 June. Activision has not acknowledged the leak in any form, nor has it (yet) issued copyright departures for the images circulating on social media – something that is known to do. As always, the case with development initiatives of this kind guarantees the only fact that a new game mode has undergone a closed internal playtest (or is about to) not that it will appear in the finished product. Although it does in this case, the final Black Ops 7 Version of skirmish can differ significantly from the recently leaked CIP building.
Two teams with 20 fighters to complete goals over a large map. Catch interesting points, destroy payloads and transfer valuable data to score. Use your wing suit to flank and reach goals before your enemy. The first team to reach the score limit wins.
Based on historical designs, Activision is likely to share more information about Black Ops 7 At the beginning of August 2025, since the publisher has rarely expected more than eight weeks between announcement Customs calls installment and provides a more detailed preview of it. Black Ops 7 also rumored to be the first Customs calls Title of over a decade to launch on a Nintendo console, namely Switch 2. That speculation is partly derived from Microsoft's 2022 agreement to bring a decade's value of (new) Customs calls Games for Nintendo platforms – an initiative that has not yet been realized. The last post in the series to release on a Nintendo console was Infinity Ward's Call of duty: ghostsWho debuted on Wii U and other platforms in 2013.
