Fortnite Select Styles require a major change

Players are unhappy with certain aspects of Fortnite's alternate styles and point to what needs to be changed to improve the quality of life.

Reddit user Owen1218 reported that they were mistakenly banned Fortnite for a total of two weeks, but they had no idea why, as they claim they did nothing against the rules. As it turns out, Epic Games confirmed that they had mistakenly taken action against the user and it awarded them 2,000 V-Bucks as compensation for the mistake, which is worth about $20.

Fortnite user wrongly banned

According to other players in the comments section of the Reddit thread, it seems that Epic Games always gives out 2,000 V-Bucks if it wrongly bans someone's account. Therefore, if Owen1218 had been suspended for two months or two days, the payout would have been exactly the same. This may not feel much to the players who are restricted from playing Fortnite for much longer periods.

Getting V-Bucks can be difficult Fortnite as players can only get them if they buy V-Bucks, unlock levels in the Battle Pass, or buy Quest packs in the Item Shop. As a result, some players in the comments were jokingly talking about how much they wanted to be randomly banned so that they too could be compensated. While 2,000 V-Bucks is a great way to compensate players, Owen1218 was unfortunately banned during one of the main Fortnite Annuals, Winterfest, and it's likely they missed the New Years live event as well. Thankfully, there are plenty of Winterfest skins in the Item Shop, Winterfest Quests are live, and the gifts are still in the lodge, so they can take part in some of the festivities until January 7th.
