5 2027 LEGO Star Wars sets detailed in new leak

Details of five new LEGO Star Wars set which is set to be released early next year has been leaked online. As Star Wars LEGO is gearing up to celebrate its 50th anniversary, joining in on the fun with some unique sets that are a distinct departure from its previous lines from a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars has been a staple of LEGO for many years, and has even spawned numerous spin-off video games recreating films from the sci-fi saga. As a result, there is no shortage of LEGO Star Wars leaks, with tons of products in development at any given time. Small details of these leaks may change at launch, but it's nice to have a broad idea of ​​what's coming in the near future.

The first to arrive on January 1st is the Stormtrooper Helmet (Concept Art), which will be based on Ralph McQuarrie's iconic concept art for the original film. Things really start to pick up on April 1st with three releases. First up is a poster that recreates A new hopes theater poster in LEGO form. Next up is the George Lucas Tribute, which is a black base diorama depicting the filming of A new hope in Tunisia. According to the report, this will include a landspeeder with mirrors on the side to mimic how this scene was filmed in real life, a dehumidifier and a camera build with a director's chair, as well as minifigures of George Lucas, a cameraman, a microphone operator, Luke, Obi-Wan, R2-D2 and C-3PO.

The last set coming on April 1 is the Star Wars Movie Theater, which is inspired by movie theaters in China. This comes with a sidewalk and ticket counter, along with worker minifigures and Star Wars cosplayers, as well as four fans. A month later, the UCS Tie Advanced is expected to be released, and will come with a Darth Vader minifigure. Of the upcoming sets, the Stormtrooper Helmet (Concept Art) will include Rogue One poster, George Lucas Tribute has one Return of the Jedi poster, Star Wars Poster has one A new hope poster, and UCS Tie Advanced has one Attack of the Clones poster. Meanwhile, the Star Wars Movie Theater set will feature both The Phantom Menace and A new hope posters, which are interchangeable with items from other sets in the display. It is unclear which sets will include posters for the other Star Wars movies at this point, but as a celebration of the series' 50th anniversary, adding these sets is an excellent and welcome bonus.

Fans can expect 2027 to be a big year for LEGO Star Wars.
