7 Strongest Jonin who is Kage level, Ranked

In it Boruto series, after the Kage, the Jonin are the second strongest fighters in a village. They are responsible for keeping the peace, and more often than not, their efforts are praised by the people. In most cases, the strongest Jonin are chosen to become Kage and lead their villages, but as always there are exceptions.

Some Jonin never became Kage even though they were the same level. In a way, this can be considered a personal failure, but most of them are unaffected by these setbacks. These Jonin stand out in Boruto as some of the most powerful.

Shino Aburame

Shino Aburame is often overlooked in power debates because his designs are not as appealing as others Naruto sign. However, Shino is an incredible ninja who could beat some of the most formidable fighters in history.

As a member of the famous Aburame clan, Shino can use various types of chakra insects to attack his enemies. While this ability may not seem like much, it can actually wipe out most opponents effortlessly.

Konohamaru Sarutobi

Konohamaru Sarutobi is the grandson of the late Hiruzen Sarutobi. He was introduced in the first half of Narutoand at the time he came off as a snobbish brat. After meeting Naruto, Konohamaru's life changed for the better, and he started training seriously.

Not long after, he mastered the Rasengan, but his growth didn't stop there. He continued to improve, and at the beginning of Borutohe became a jonin. Konohamaru's physical abilities are extremely impressive, and he can fight someone of Ao's caliber without too much trouble.

Sakumo Hatake was a legendary ninja who came from the hidden blade. He was said to be an exceptionally strong individual whose name alone struck terror into the hearts of his enemies. In fact, his enemies knew him as the White Fang of the Blade.

The epithet stuck after Sakumo mowed down several enemies with his chakra blade. A ninja of his ability would have had incredible strength and speed. Also, it's safe to assume that Sakumo had large chakra reserves. Another proof of his strength is that Sakumo was placed in the same bracket as the legendary Sannin, and it is a well known fact that all three were Kage level ninja.

Jiraiya

Jiraiya was a member of the legendary Sannin, who trained under Hiruzen Sarutobi. In his younger days, Jiraiya was considered less talented than his teammates, but that didn't stop him from training and becoming strong. He practiced on Mount Myoboku with the toads and eventually learned to use Sage Mode.

This special power increased his strength to the point that even multiple bodies of pain could not stem his progress. Jiraiya was also a master of espionage, which is how he completed more than 500 missions. Another underrated weapon in Jiraiya's locker was his combat IQ. He could analyze his opponents and plan a counter attack almost instantly.

Sakura Haruno

Sakura Haruno is the strongest female ninja in the world, which is a huge achievement in itself. Early on in the series, Sakura was more of a burden than an asset. She couldn't handle her problems, which often meant her teammates had to bail her out.

However, after training under Tsunade, Sakura's strength greatly improved. She mastered chakra control, which allowed her to use much more powerful attacks. In addition, Sakura became adept at using medical ninjutsu, with which she saved countless lives. By the end of the series, Sakura was head and shoulders above the rest of the female ninjas.

Shisui Uchiha

Shisui Uchiha is one of the biggest what-ifs in history. At the peak of his powers, Shisui was arguably the most dangerous ninja in the world. Not only did he have incredible strength, but he was exceptionally fast. Shisui was a master of the Body Flicker technique, which allowed him to move across short distances almost instantly.

However, the greatest weapon in his locker was the Kotoamatsukami, a Genjutsu considered so powerful that it was haunted for years even after Shisui's death. Using the Kotoamatsukami, Shisui was able to cast a potent Genjutsu on his target. Once Shisui was in effect, he could make the victim do whatever he wanted. What is surprising is that the target never realized that their actions were being monitored. Given Shisui's abilities, there is no doubt that he was a Kage-level Jonin.

Rock Lee

Rock Lee is the beloved student of Might Guy. The latter did everything in his power to train Lee and turn him into an elite fighter. Rock Lee took training seriously, which is why his speed, strength and endurance improved so much. The rigorous training also enabled Lee to learn the Eight Inner Gates.

This particular technique puts a huge strain on the user's body, so a normal person cannot hope to master it. However, Lee's body was much more durable, so he could use the eight inner gates without a problem. When activated, his total power reaches a completely different level, and in that state he can easily go toe to toe with a Kage.
