Last Nintendo remade Ocarina of timeit changed Majora's mask also. Ocarina of Time 3D released for 3DS in 2011, and four years later, Majora's Mask 3D hit the scene. Then Ocarina of time and Majora's mask shares a lot of assets, it's natural to assume that Nintendo will want to do something similar on the Switch 2. After all, Nintendo puts a lot of energy into developing Ocarina of time remake for Switch 2, so why not get more use out of those assets and make one Majora's mask remake too?

As it stands, we don't know the extent of it Ocarina of time remake, and so it is difficult to say which form a Majora's mask remake would even take. The Ocarina of time the remake reveal trailer simply shows Link sleeping in his house, offering no context for any gameplay changes. A Majora's mask Switch 2 remake may ultimately depend on how ambitious it is OoT remake is. If Ocarina of time is mainly just a graphical upgrade, a Majora's mask Switch 2 remake seems more likely. If it's reworked to be open world or otherwise more complex, fans might not want to hold their breath Majora's mask to take the plunge, but anything can happen.

Even if one Majora's mask remake happens, it would be years before it saw the light of day. In the meantime, Zelda fans can look forward to playing Ocarina of time remake on Switch 2 later this year, and if they want to return MMcan they play OG Majora's mask through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.
