Diablo 4 players have 47 days to earn a free pet

With Diablo 4Season 11 PTR now running until October 28th, it's starting to feel like Season 10 is entering its sunset phase. Diablo 4 Season 10 has arguably been one of the best seasons the game has ever seen, so it will be a sad day for fans when it ends and mechanics like Chaos Armor and Chaos Perks disappear. With the end of season 10, Diablo 4 players will also lose out on the free cosmetic items that can be earned via the Season Journey and relics, including the new pet, Pandora the Fox.

Diablo 4 introduced pets in Season 4 as part of overhauling the loot gathering mechanics. Having an active pet isn't just a cosmetic bonus too Diablo 4 players, but comes with the tool to automatically collect certain drops such as gold, gem fragments and other resources. Earning Pandora the Fox allows players to claim one of the few free pets in the game while ensuring they have an adorable way to pick up valuable resources without having to think about them.

Diablo 4 players can only earn Pandora the Fox Pet in Season 10

Although there are many pets that players can bring in Diablo 4only a handful are available for free. Most Diablo 4 pets have been locked behind the Premium Battle Pass or must be purchased with Platinum from Tejal's Shop. However, recent seasons have given players an opportunity to earn a pet for free just by following the season's journey:

Diablo 4 Season 7 – Dorian the Raven
Diablo 4 Season 8 – Iris the Cat
Diablo 4 Season 9 – Dante the Dog
Diablo 4 Season 10 – Pandora the Fox

How to earn Pandora the Fox in Diablo 4 Season 10

To unlock Pandora the Fox as a pet Diablo 4players must advance the Season Journey and complete Chapter 6. Completing this chapter requires players to complete 5 of the 6 objectives in the chapter:

Rifted Out Madness
The chaos of hell
- Open Tortured Gift of Mysteries
- Defeat the Blood Maiden 5x
- Defeat Hellborne was created by reaching Max Threat Level
- Locate and close 25 chaos rifts
Plutonian devastation
Protect the realm
- Complete a world event with mastery
- Complete a Legion Event
- Defeat a world boss
Live in abundance
- Create any jewelry cache at the jeweler
- Create a Smithy Cache at the blacksmith
- Salvage 99 Ancestral Legendary equipment of the blacksmith
Knock on the gates of hell
- Complete Artificer's Tier 55 or higher
- Improve a Paragon Glyph to rank 45

Because not all of these objectives need to be completed in order to be completed Diablo 4 Season 10's Chapter 6 and serve Pandora the Fox, players have the option to choose the ones that are easiest for them to tackle. Players can make progress towards completing some of these objectives before unlocking the chapter, so it's possible that they may not need to invest too much more time completing them when Chapter 6 becomes available.

Along with Pandora the Fox, players also earn a Mystery Greater Archetype Cache, 1120 Infernal Warp, and 3 Smoldering Ash for completing this chapter.

Diablo 4 Season 10 free cosmetics are gone after December 9th

Unfortunately, Diablo 4 players will not be able to get Pandora the Fox as a pet after season 10 ends. As with previous seasonal travel pets, this reward is only available for a limited time. With Season 10 ending on December 9 and giving way to Season 11 on the same day, players should take advantage of the 47 days they have left to do the Season Journey if they want to get the exclusive free pet before it's gone.
