Switch to Deadly Sinner mode in Freedom Wars remastered
Freedom Wars Remastered doesn't have traditional difficulty modes that you can choose from when you start the game. That said, there is Deadly Sinner Mode that can be activated to make the game more difficult overall.
Players can switch between Deadly Sinner Mode while playing the game regularly if they want, although there's a bit more to it than just changing a setting in a menu. Here's what Deadly Sinner Mode is and what it changes if you want to try it out.

What changes Deadly Sinner Mode in Freedom Wars remastered
Deadly Sinner Mode is the closest thing to a hard mode that this game has, but it doesn't change the combat itself in the game and only makes your operations slightly more difficult. Mostly it focuses on making your life in the Panopticon more difficult, along with making it even harder to reduce your sentence. Deadly Sinner Mode changes the following things:
-
Violations add more years to your prison sentence.
-
Donating resources takes fewer years off your sentence, but gives the same number of justice points as normal.
-
Less time to complete Operations.
-
Unique rights.
Overall, this mode affects your prison sentence the most, which you're always trying to lower as part of the overall story. Like I said, you don't actually need to get your sentence down to 0 to complete the gameand there are only a few roadblocks in the game that require a specific sentence, and they are often not that difficult to achieve once you complete all the necessary operations. The unique rights are mostly just cosmetic, but the less time it takes to complete operations adds a bit of a challenge.

Switch to Deadly Sinner mode in Freedom Wars remastered
You can turn Deadly Sinner mode on or off at any time in Window Of Liberty. Although you can switch back and forth, there is some rights you have to buy back when you activate Deadly Sinner Modeand it also requires you to buy them again if you choose to turn off Deadly Sinner Mode. The following rights are permanently deleted and must be repurchased each time you switch between the two modes:
-
Right to run
-
Right to rest
-
Right to remain silent
-
Right to unsupervised activity
-
Right to keep items
These rights can be expensive, so it's best to pick a difficulty mode early in the game and try to stick with it instead of switching back and forth frequently.
