The PS5 has five major upcoming games releasing in July 2026

PlayStation 5 gamers have at least five high-profile new game releases to look forward to in July 2026. Sony's PS5 has enjoyed a lot of momentum since it originally launched in 2020. Almost every major third-party multi-platform game release has made it to the PS5 in the years since the console's debut, and Sony has released its first-exclusive games, including its first-exclusive games. Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Yoteiand Game of the Year winner Astro Bot.

With PS5 consoles more expensive than ever before, it's all the more important that Sony continues to support the console with major new game releases. The summer months are historically the slowest when it comes to new game releases, and that's true for 2026 as well, but that doesn't mean there aren't some notable new games coming to PS5 in the very near future.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync coming to PS5 on July 9, with EA Sports College Football 27 releases same day. The next day, PalworldThe 1.0 version will be coming to PS5, while Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is on deck July 23. Finally, the month ends with something we never thought we'd see: a Halo Game release for PS5. Halo: Campaign Evolved will be released for PS5 on July 28, marking the first time Microsoft's flagship has ever been playable on a competitor's console.

For those unfamiliar with the games, Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync is a remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flagis widely considered to be one of the best games in Ubisoft's stealth-action series. Black flag resynced has various improvements and upgrades it brings to the table that should help make it a worthwhile return for nostalgic fans and newcomers alike. EA Sports College Football 27meanwhile, marks the third iteration in EA's revived college football franchise. The previous two games received high marks from critics, and it will be interesting to see again EA Sports College Football 27 can keep the hot knitting going.

Doom: The Dark Ages' Revelations DLC will be released for PS5 on July 7th.

Palworld is already available on PS5 in early access, but the 1.0 release comes with a massive update for the open-ended co-op survival game that should hopefully bring some lost players back into the fold. As far as Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game goes, it's a new 2D fighting game with characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise.

And finally, Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of the original Halo the game's campaign, complete with three new missions. The novelty of seeing one Halo game release on PS5 is enough to do The campaign developed one of the most exciting new PS5 games to be released in July, and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
