LEGO Fortnite brings one GTA-like game mode to the title's universe of ever-expanding ways to play. Fortnite recently released Chapter 6, “Hunters,” and with it came many new expansions and improvements to the ever-popular title.

One of many new implementations on the way Fortnite is the addition of an in-game text chat feature. This allows players to use text to chat not only in the lobby but in all game modes, as well as the ability to send DMs to friends. To protect users, especially those under the age of 13, some filters will also be implemented when the feature is released on December 10.

A recent Fortnite leak could potentially tease a major collaboration slated to hit the game during a future update.

Since its release on December 7, 2023, the game mode has seen several expansions, with the Lost Isles update being the latest addition to LEGO Fortnite.

The Lost Isles update also added the ability to build vehicles in the game. Klombos also began to appear in LEGO Fortniteallowing players to find and tame the huge creatures as companions in Minecraft-like survival game. LEGO fans can also farm, fish, explore caves, build sprawling villages and more in LEGO Fortnite.

LEGO Fortnite also added a Halloween update this year, which has its own pass available until December 10th. Players hoping to rush through this LEGO pass can earn special Halloween-themed items to build with, along with pre-made ghost buildings. Players can also trick-or-treat with villagers and find characters wearing ghostly costumes throughout the world.


LEGO Fortnite also allows for split screen, allowing two players to enjoy all the features the game mode has to offer in person. The feature is only available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles, with no support for Nintendo Switch at this time. Split screen has been a feature in Fortnite for some time but has been absent from most game modes. That all changed with the v31.40 Fortnitemares update, which also brought the aforementioned pass containing the Halloween-themed LEGO pieces to collect. With a similar setup to the Battle Royale game mode, split screen on LEGO Fortnite is quite simple to set up. All players need to do is connect a second controller and log in Fortnite with their account.
