Star Fox on Switch 2 will feature redesigns for many beloved characters, and Nintendo has officially revealed the new designs for Team Star Wolf. Team Star Wolf debuted Star Fox 64 and consists of four members: Wolf O'Donnell, Pigma Dengar, Leon Kowalski and Andrew Oikonny. Star Fox on Switch 2 is a remake of that game, so players can expect similar beats to the story, including the antagonistic relationship between the heroes and the members of Team Star Wolf.
After more than a month of rumors, Star Fox was officially announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, and will be available on June 25th. Nintendo didn't release a new one Star Fox games during the original Switch era, although some of the characters appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Ubisoft's Starlink: Battle for Atlas.

Nintendo is reportedly under pressure to raise Switch 2 prices
As other gaming systems become more expensive, the Nintendo Switch 2 remains at its launch price, but shareholders are apparently pushing for an increase.
Team Star Wolf's Nintendo Switch 2 makeover
The new one Star Fox The game was revealed during a Nintendo Direct, which also offered a closer look at new designs for Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad. While these characters have received the majority of the focus, the Star Wolf team has also been revealed, and the villains continue the trend of having more realistic animal designs. As a result, the new designs feature a lot more detail than they did on the N64, with Leon sporting a more scaled-down look and Andrew sporting a smug expression. Given that Andrew is the nephew of the central antagonist Andross, it's very fitting. Wolf has a terrifying glare, while Pigma looks older and messier than before.

While Fox McCloud is the only playable character in the campaign, players will have a chance to play as Star Wolf pilots in some capacity. Star FoxThe multiplayer mode allows players to choose between the two teams before jumping into dogfights in 4v4. The game also takes advantage of the Switch 2's GameChat feature, which allows players to actually appear as their chosen pilot. It already looks like a promising inclusion, and one of the more unique uses for the feature since the Switch 2 launched last year.
The new one Star Fox also takes advantage of one of the Switch 2's most underrated features: GameShare. GameShare allows Switch 2 users to share games they own, specifically for multiplayer purposes. Games like Pokopia and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment both take advantage of the feature, allowing an owner of the game to stream it to nearby consoles or to users via GameChat. It even works locally with the original Switch, giving owners of the game more potential people to play with. It could do Star Foxs multiplayer mode more appealing, while also making it easier to find more people to play with.

Star Fox is a remake of a game that was released almost three decades ago, but the developers seem to have found several ways to make it feel modern. Between new character designs and Switch 2 features, it really doesn't look its age. Rumors suggest one Ocarina of time remake is coming to Switch 2, and the treatment Star Fox may give fans an idea of what to expect. Nintendo seems to be digging into its N64 library this year and finding new ways to modernize some classics.
