Splitgate 2 Open Beta schedule, platforms and modes

After the explosive success of the first game, Splitgate 2 Is now available in Open Beta on several platforms. The sequel to the portal -focused FPS is improved in the original formula in several ways and offers a more even shooting experience that allows players to pull off some crazy trick images with their unique game mechanics.

While it is advertised as a beta, Splitgate 2 Open Beta will continue all the way until the game's official launch and players can already spend money on purchases in the game, so it's more like a soft launch. Still, with the game at the moment in a beta state, some issues have already emerged that have thrown a wrench in the original schedule.

Splitgate 2 Beta -Schedule

The Splitgate 2 Open Beta went live on May 22, 2025. Beta will remain online until the full 1.0 launched later this summer. All progress will transfer to the entire 1.0 launch, including all purchases in the game and Battle Pass units. This applies to all platforms that Splitgate 2 Is available at: PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. FULL COSPLAY AND CROSS -PROGRESSION are also available under Splitgate 2 Open beta.

Splitgate 2Servers have been taken offline for emergency maintenance after players experienced serious technical problems on the launch day. There is no word about when the servers come back, but 1047 games “work around the clock” to fix things.

The Splitgate 2 Open Beta has most of the content that the entire 1.0 version of the game will have, including 15 maps and 10 modes to check out.

Removal

Fan-Favorite removal mode returns from the first game in combination with four new simulation maps. Takedown is a twist on the Standard Team Deathmatch rules where kills make your team respawn faster, but being killed will make your team respawn slower. When a whole team is eliminated before anyone can respawn, the match ends and the surviving team wins.

Also a renewed version of the stadium map from the original Fragmentation returns for Splitgate 2 Open beta. Stadium was one of the most popular maps in the first game, and the developers have adjusted it to fit better with the sequel's new game changes. More new maps are also coming during the Beta period, so there is much to look forward to leading to launch.
