As if Capcom didn't already kill it with Resident Evil Requiem, it's gone two for two this year with Pragmata. The game launched to great critics and fans, and even managed to sell a million copies in two days. What's more? It's already competing with the likes of Resident Evil 4 to be one of Capcom's highest-rated games of all time.
With this success, Capcom definitely needs to have conversations about the future of the IP. Sure, the game spent a lot of time in development, but now that it's out, the developers are surely thinking about a sequel. But the big question is, does Capcom have another lucrative IP on their hands? Capcom USA COO, Rob Dyer, certainly seems to think so.
Resident of Pragmata
As noted by Game File, Dyer, who was at the recent gaming event iicon, said, “We're at a point now where we have another IP that Capcom — and god bless them, has an arsenal — that we can continue to go down.” With Resident Evil already in the chamber, Pragmata is a great IP to have in reserve.
However, this is in no way a confirmation that a sequel is already in the works. The developers clearly spent a lot of time on the game, so a sequel will undoubtedly take a lot of thought and time. That said, it would be a missed opportunity if they don't capitalize on the game's success.

Pragmatists understand that not all video game dads need to be sad
Capcom has delivered a story about parenthood in Pragmata that feels fresh, exciting and happy.
In her review for Pragmata, TheGamer's Lead Features Editor Jade King said: “It wants you to question what it feels like to play a modern shooter and engage in a familiar narrative that games like The Last of Us and God of War have already done to death by asking big questions of its characters and trusting you to experiment with unique combat mechanics never before seen in the two major genres and ambition. characters leading the charge on an intergalactic adventure without its like, Pragmata is a rare triumph.
