Sanji is one of the strongest members of the Strawhat Pirates and, quite easily, among the strongest Yonko Commanders that fans have seen in all of history. IN One PieceAlthough Sanji's beginnings in his journey as a pirate were quite humble, he has grown tremendously over the years. Right now, Sanji can be described as one of the most trusted members of the crew and at the same time a feared pirate, with a bounty of 1.032 billion berries.

When it comes to Sanji's strength i One Piecefans know that Wano was a big step forward for him, due to him gaining a new power in the form of Ifrit Jambe. At the same time, Sanji also awakened the latent scientific abilities that stemmed from Judge's experiments on him while he was still in his mother's womb. Sanji undoubtedly showed a drastic growth rate in Wano, but now he's taken things up a notch in Elbaf and reached an even higher level of power.

The Wano Country bow was huge for almost every straw hat. But of the entire crew, the Monster Trio certainly showed the most growth. Fans already know that for Luffy, Wano was the most important Arc. Not only did he awaken the powers of Advanced Armament and Supreme King Haki, but at the same time he harnessed the power of Devil Fruit Awakening and gained access to Gear 5. Luffy put together all the abilities he had learned. was able to defeat Kaido, one of the sea emperors. As for Zoro, fans know that he managed to get a new sword, the Enma, which increased his power immensely. Zoro was able to bring out his latent Conqueror's Haki and use this power to defeat the king.

More mass, more acceleration! – Sanji

Sanji, on the other hand, showed dramatic growth as well. For him, Wano was incredibly important. Sanji first used the power of the Raid Suit he got on Whole Cake Island. After using it three times, Sanji felt his body react strangely. Somehow the Raid Suit had triggered his suspended genetic mutation and restarted it. Over time, Sanji's body began to show major changes and eventually he developed an exoskeleton, gaining more muscle mass and having all of his physical attributes greatly enhanced. All of this was indicated by Sanji's eyebrows swirling in the opposite direction. Due to his new exoskeleton, Sanji was now able to sustain even hotter flames on his legs and his body in general. That was precisely why he was able to develop a new power, called Ifrit Jambe. Ifrit Jambe's flames are blue in color and simultaneously generate lightning.

Sanji could essentially electrocute and burn his opponents at the same time, frying them from the inside out. Sanji first used this ability in the battle against Queen, and much to the surprise of fans, he was able to take him down in just a single attack. Taking down the Queen was no problem for him at all and fans know that he could have even taken down stronger foes like King and even held his own against the likes of an Emperor for a significant period of time.

Yet fans also knew that Sanji was far from the level of an Emperor and definitely not as strong as an Admiral either. But all of these things only meant that he needed to grow even stronger, which he now has in the Elbaf Arc of One Piece.

Sanji has overstepped his bounds once again in Elbaf

It's easy for fans to see Sanji using Ifrit Jambe more often in Elbaf. When Nami was attacked by Ice Cat, Sanji didn't hold back and used Epaule Strike on the cat. Even more recently, i One Piece chapter 1129, fans saw Sanji use Ifrit Jambe again. Curiously, Sanji used this ability in a completely different way in this chapter, essentially confirming that he has become even stronger.

In One Piece chapter 1129, when Road, also known as the Sun God, captured the Strawhat pirates using a steel net, Sanji and Zoro were the ones who responded by striking this net and reducing it to pieces. While Zoro used an unknown attack, Sanji tapped the Ifrit Jambe again and just launched a normal kick to break the net. What was surprising here was the fact that Sanji didn't tap into his Germa powers at all.

Love is stronger than light! – Sanji

For those who don't remember, in order for Sanji to harness the Ifrit Jambe, he absolutely must harness the power of the Germa mutation, because otherwise he won't have access to the exoskeleton, the increased muscle mass, or have his physical attributes enhanced. All of these things are necessary for Sanji to maintain hotter flames on his legs. However in One Piece chapter 1129, Sanji held Ifrit Jambe on his feet without even harnessing the power of his Germa mode.

This essentially means that Sanji has strengthened his bones and at the same time his Haki, to a level where he does not need to utilize his scientific mutations in order to maintain Ifrit Jambe. This essentially indicates that Sanji's level of Haki has advanced tremendously, as has his basic strength. Right now, Sanji is capable of defeating Yonko Commanders without even knowing his scientific mutation, which just shows how far he's come, despite not having fought a major battle since Queen.

How strong is Sanji right now?

After the events of the Wano Country Arc, it could be concluded that Sanji was on par with the strongest Yonko right-hand men. In fact, a case could have been made for Sanji defeating the vast majority of them. But now fans can be sure he's on a higher level. At this point, Sanji can easily defeat the vast majority of Yonko right handers and he is clearly a level above them.

Sanji even had skirmishes with Admiral Kizaru in Egghead and he was able to shatter his lasers with a single kick, stating that his love is even stronger than Kizaru's light. Sanji showed off a physics-defying feat there, and later became the only character to actually hurt Nusjuro in the arc, again, showing off his advanced strength. Sanji is clearly approaching Admiral level, and by the end of the Elbaf arc, he should be as strong as them, meaning that once Elbaf finishes, he should be ready to take on the biggest threats without too much trouble. Fans will simply have to sit back and watch Sanji grow and reach the next level of strength as Elbaf continues.
