Lacrimosa's addition to NTE comes after the character was already featured in the game's launch update. Lacrimosa was the star of the side mission Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report, where players helped Mint investigate an anomaly that was causing problems while posing as Lacrimosa. The mission also gave players an early chance to try out Lacrimosa, with the Bureau of Anomaly Control agent briefly playable during some combat segments of her story missions. The chest that Lacrimosa sleeps in can also be found in various locations while exploring Hethereau.

Lacrimosa isn't the only playable character set to join the list below NTEnext update. Hotta Studio revealed Chaos as the first playable member of the Bureau of Anomaly Control's ETD-6 team, joining the game as an S-Class Lakshana-type character. Chaos is expected to debut as a Damage character too NTE team, based on his role as the heavy hitter for ETD-6. Chaos will join the roster during the second half of the version 1.1 update, which is currently expected to roll out on June 24th.
