Minecraft releases new Snapshot update for April 2025

A new Snapshot version is now available for Minecraft Java Edition players, with the update that introduces a small tweak to sprinkle potion mechanics along with changes in craft recipes for dried blocked blocks and the recently overlooked joints. Some of the latest experimental versions of Minecraft Has given the fans a preview of the new Happy Hast Mob which was revealed earlier this year during Minecraft Live.

As the name suggests, Happy Ghast's friendly variants of the iconic liquid bullies patrolling Nether are. Snapshot also makes it much easier for players to create leads by updating the item's recipe, which no longer requires a mucus ball, instead only an extra string in its place. MinecraftLeashing Mechanics was recently demolished in a previous experimental preview version, which allowed crowds to be linked to each other, as well as to boats.

The second major change in the latest snapshot version focus on MinecraftSplash potion mechanics, with a small adjustment made to the distance calculation used when a mob is affected by a splashing drink. Furthermore, Splash Potion Effect is now based on the distance between Impact Site and Mob Hitbox. This means that crowds will have the full effect of a splashing drink if they hit directly, and a group of bullies that are as great from the influence will have the same power force as each other.

  • This means that if a unit is hit directly by the splash potion it will have the full effect of the drink

  • If the units are grouped they will receive the same power force

• The data pack version is now 75

• All JSON files (in worlds, packaging, configuration etc.) are now analyzed in strict mode

  • Bulls with a set home position will limit their path to staying within the specified area

  • Some crowds, such as bats, mucus, magma cubes, phantoms and ender dragons can ignore it
