BENGHAZI: Libya's House of Representatives announced on Sunday the opening of nominations for the presidency of a new government, the Libyan News Agency reported. Those wishing to run for office are asked to submit their nomination papers at the HoR headquarters in Benghazi starting Sunday until August 11. House spokesman Abdullah Balihaq said in an announcement on the council's official website that the speaker, Aguila Saleh, is calling on representatives and members of the Supreme Council of State to recommend qualified candidates for the post of prime minister.
