Why we wish these 10 Mario Kart World traces were real
Impossible? Certainly not. We believe that these Mario Kart World traces can be real, and we book our tickets for a visit.
Mario Kart World's latest mechanics focus on grinding on rails and riding on walls, as king The thought was perfectly implemented. “Driving around a tight corner just to grind on a rail, perform a trick and send yourself to a wall that literally lets you fly over the competition feels incredible.”
… It's hard to get away from Mario Kart World without feeling that you've just played the most successful Kart Racer ever made.
While King praised Mario Kart World's gameplay and innovations, she Don't be the biggest fan of their free roam mode. It is interesting in theory, but when you jump in and start driving around you will quickly realize that there is not much to actually do.
There are hidden collectibles and challenges to discover in the open world, but the rewards are often overwhelming and don't really feel like they are worthy of effort. “This is fun, but apart from the satisfaction of winning and serving a cool decal they are also superfluous. With few of these, they have any real impact on the game they are just purely aesthetic.”
Despite its disappointment with free roaming, King believes the new Knockout Tour mode more than compensates for it and can define the future of the series. “Knockout tour is not for the weak, and I love how it is a capsule of all the things that this series has done well over the years. It takes the concept of Battle Royale and spreads it over a lovingly designed open world filled with several decades of game history.”
In the end, King believes that Mario Kart World justifies its existence as a Switch 2 title with its Wonderful pictures and ambitious ideas. “The world is more playful, more unpredictable and more willing to give players all the toys they need to have fun and put the pedal to the metal.”

What players say
A World of Fun – Rebecca Phillips
I am an extremely relaxed Mario Kart player – the last Mario Kart games I played were on DS and on Wii, and I somehow jumped 8 completely – but Mario Kart World has her hooks in me. The new tracks are fantastic and Knockout tour is a brilliant new location that is definitely worth trying. Competitions feel more chaotic (at least compared to what I've played) and that makes me come back for more. Even if you are just in it for a fun time, I would definitely say it's worth it.
Be open to this open world take – the fire Lizardi
Mario Kart World really takes the series in an interesting direction with the Open World format. They pull on this with the main positions, with you competing between the tracks. Some people may love this fluid takes on racing, while those who prefer to do several turns can be less appealing. But if you just want to have fun, the world does a good job of keeping everything fast and engaging.
