How to get distilled emotes in Path of Exile 2
Distilled emotions in Path of Exile 2 is a reward for completing the Delirium map nodes in the endgame mapping phase, but their purpose is unclear – especially for players who haven't played the first The path of exile.
Understanding how to use Distilled Emotions is critical to developing an endgame build, as the ability to buff an amulet—something only Distilled Emotions can do—is a key factor in creating an endgame advantage.

There are a few ways to get an Orb of Chance Path of Exile 2 that players can take advantage of, but be careful when using these coveted items.
How to use Distilled Emotions in Path of Exile 2
There are two possible uses for Distilled Emotions in Path of Exile 2:
-
Anointing amulets with passive skills (notes).
-
Infuse Waystones with delirium.
How to anoint amulets with passive skills using distilled emotions
To add a notable passive skill to an amulet, you need to know the passive skill you want to anoint, the three distilled emotes corresponding to that notable, and the amulet itself.
The main advantage of infusing amulets is that you can add large notables that are far away from your main build on the passive skill tree. That way, you don't have to take subpar nodes to get a particularly good one that's out of the way.
To find which distilled emotes you need for a specific skill, hover over it in your passive skill tree and press ALT. This will show the exact names and order of the distilled emotions you need for that skill. For example “Tainted Strike” passive skill requires Ire, Despair, Greed (in that order).
Collect all the necessary distilled emotes and the amulet in your inventory. Right-click a distilled emote to open the settings window, arrange them in order, and place the amulet in the box above them. Below you should see the description of the skill you want to add. Click 'Instill' to complete the process.
While any amulet can be infused with a passive skill, it's best to wait until you find an amulet for your endgame build before doing so. Distilled emotions don't come cheap.

How to get distilled emotes in Path of Exile 2
There are two main ways to get distilled emotions in PoE 2:
- To complete Delirium Map Nodes in the end game: Delirium map nodes are denoted by a pure white plus icon (pictured above). On these maps you will find a Delirium Mirror, and passing through it will trigger Delirium Fog, which will cover the entire map and spawn white Delirium monsters. Just like Breaches, the more Delirium monsters you kill, the longer the Delirium condition lasts. When the delirium state ends, distilled emotions will sink where you stand. The number of these items you get depends on how many delirium monsters you killed and your item rarity stat.
- Using currency exchange: Talk to Alva in the end game and select “Currency Exchange”. In the “I have” box, select Exalt Orbs (since that is the universal currency used for trading), and in the “I want” box, select the distilled emote you want to get. The current rate of the distilled emotion you are looking for in the market will become immediately apparent. Set up the required number of Exalted Orbs, and you'll get it instantly.
Although it is possible to get distilled emotions on Path of Exile 2 trading platform, it is less tedious and more efficient to do it via the currency exchange.
