Death beach 2: On the beach is just a little more than a week away, and Hideo Kojima hopes he has nailed the balance between enjoyment and controversy as he did with the first game. So much so that when early tests of the game came back positive, he went back in and changed the sequel to try to reduce its potential mainstream appeal.
We had already heard from Kojima himself that he was disappointed previews by Death Stranding 2 was so glowing, because he prefers that people were split over whether they love his work or not. What Kojima did not reveal at that time is that after very early tests of the sequel, the people loved the game so much that he went back in and changed things about it based on their feedback.

It sounds like we will be able to use the strange guitar weapon in Death Stranding 2 themselves
Judging by Death Stranding 2's ESRB rating, there is more than one guitar weapon knocking around.
According to Death Stranding 2, it is better known as Woodkid, who spoke with Rolling Stone about his time to work with Kojima. “There is an important moment where we had a discussion, probably halfway [through] When we did the game, where he came to me and said, “We have a problem,” Woodkid revealed.
Hideo kojima don't like it when you like his game too much
Be careful what you say about them, he might just go in and change things “We have tested the game with players and the results are too good. They like it too much. It means something is wrong; we have to change something. 'And he changed things in the script and how some crucial stuff [happens] In the game because he thought his work was not polarizing and not triggered enough emotions.
Kojima went on to tell Woodkid that if everyone likes Death Stranding 2, it means it's mainstream. The head of Kojima Productions explained to the composer that he wants people to be challenged by his games and not necessarily enjoy them at first. Then, when they play them a little longer, or visit them later, everything clicks in place and they fall in love with it.
As much as I want to roll my eyes on this reveal, the last part, in particular, summarizes the first death that strands to a tee. Almost everyone I know who has played it – including myself, I am about 22 hours in my first playthrough as we speak – have admitted that they did not get it first, but love it now.
Most of these people fell in love with the first game after returning to the director's cut that was launched at a later date. Whether Kojima likes it or not, it doesn't sound like Death Stranding 2 will need a director to make the masses in love with it. When it comes to going back and changing parts of the game, it may be the indication, along with the pandemic, for the sequel that did not launch two years ago, which was originally the plan.
