The developers behind Fallout 76 Have bad news for players who still hope that crossplay features will be added to the game. Creative Director John Rush and Production Director Bill Lacoste talked about Fallout 76 Because it is prepared for their Burning Spring's update.
Fallout 76 has come very far since its launch far back in 2018. Originally the world seemed sparse because of completely missing human NPCs, and the title had significant technical problems at launch. Begins with the update of the wilderness, the general impression of the game began to improve, as Fallout 76 Developers added human NPCs in response to the fan's demand. Now, however, the developers reveal that there is a feature that will probably never be added to the game.
Fallout 76 will probably not get crossplay
In a round table interview, John Rush and Bill Lacoste Burning Springs discussed, plus directed some questions and thoughts that the fans have had. An often requested function, crossplay and cross-spave functionality were also brought up. They explained that the team has no plans for the function right now, and it sounds very unlikely that it will be added in the future. Lacoste expressed it because of Fallout 76 To now be seven years old, to introduce an important function like this would be a “huge technical obstacle.”
Lacoste added that these types of functions must be taken into account and built on when a game is in the early stages of development. Although it sounds like it would not be impossible to do, the team is more interested in creating content to keep the power Fallout 76 Playerbase satisfied. But with that said, it is not completely excluded. Rush stated that the team regularly discusses it, and that the performance is not forgotten, and “it is not a difficult no, but it is definitely not a yes.” Unfortunately, it sounds like players who hope to seamlessly play over multiple platforms with cross -program, or to play with friends on different platforms, that it is not in the cards for the foreseeable future.
While some players may be disappointed with this development, there are still plenty of exciting content to look forward to.
