Adrian has been writing, criticizing and thinking about games since he first bought an N64 controller many years ago. These days he writes reviews, news and features for Game Rant and believes that games should be held to the same artistic standards as books, movies and TV shows. When he's not writing for Game Rant, Adrian writes even more reviews for Sirus Gaming and enjoys geeking out about tech and retro gaming at HackerNoon. Outside of the gaming world, he spends a lot of time enjoying movies or listening to every genre of music under the sun. Follow him on Twitter for nonsense tweets likely related to Dragon Ball Z, or check out Breadhouse Records for some tunes.
Playground Games has delivered one of the most comprehensive viewers to come Fable reboot, upload a 30-minute extended demo video that dives into just about everything the fantasy RPG has to offer. Fable may have skipped the originally planned 2026 release, but in its absence Playground Games has given fans plenty to explore as it heads towards release.

Fable: A narrative choice can make or break the protagonist
Playground Games still has a lot to reveal about its Fable reboot, but one aspect of its protagonist may be particularly crucial.
Coming off the heels of its Xbox Games Showcase 2026 trailer, Playground Games has given fans a massive look at what next year will bring Fables new 30-minute extended gameplay demo. The gameplay trailer puts viewers right in the shoes of The Hero of Briar Hill as they explore Albion and almost immediately begin a dialogue with a talking pig whose fate the hero will decide. Most of the gameplay demo shows lots of NPC interactions, showing that each character is unique and has their own thoughts and feelings about the hero. Later, the demo shows some of the romance in Fable before the main character chooses a fight in the middle of town. Fans of the franchise may find this reminiscent of the classic Fable game.
