The Best Magic: The Gathering Accessories for Bloomburrow
Magic: The Gathering's Bloomburrow set comes with some great accessories, all to keep you looking good while you play.
Keeping track of what's coming to Magic: The Gathering can be tricky. With products announced until 2026, here's everything currently revealed for the game.
Updated October 30 at 11:15 GMT by Joe Parlock: The 2025 lineups have been fully revealed now, including crossovers with Spider-Man and Final Fantasy, a death race in Aetherdrift and the return of the Clans in Tarkir: Dragonstorm.
Latest release: Duskmourn: House Of Horror – 27 September 2024
After the picturesque and pastoral landscape of Bloomburrow, Duskmourn is one hell of a tonal whiplash. Twilight sadness is a haunted housewarped beyond recognition by the ancient demon Valvagoth.
Durkmourn is inspired by 70s and 80s horrora remarkably modern setting for Magic's multiverse. Expect a lot TVs, Walkmans, sneakers and backpacks along with some of the most gruesome monsters we've ever seen in Magic.
Duskmourn launches with four Commander decksand marks the debut of a new type of package: The Nightmare Bundle. This includes both Play and Collector boosters, a brand new 'Nightmare Booster', a glow-in-the-dark spindown die and a collection of foil-full landings.
Foundations – 15 November 2024
Magic: The Gathering's standard format hasn't been in the best place since the pandemic, with people flocking Commander, Modern or Pioneer to play on paper instead. Wizards' recent goal has been to improve Standard, and Foundations is the culmination of that plan.
While other sets are only legal in Standard for three years, Foundations is meant to be the ground floor of the format, and will remain legal for as long as Wizards thinks it needs to be (until at least 2029). Containing a mix of reprints and brand new cards and designed specifically for new players to learn to play, it's somewhat similar to the old core sets, but lasts longer.
In addition to the Play and Collector boosters, Foundations will also feature a Starter Box and a Starter Collection – two ways to learn the game, starting with the basics and progressing to more complex aspects of magic.

Every card revealed for Magic: The Gathering's Foundations
Foundations can be the perfect starting point for anyone new to Magic: The Gathering.
Innistrad remastered – January 2025
The first set in a year is usually a reprint-focused “remastered” set. In 2024 it was Ravnica Remastered, in 2023 it was Dominaria, and in 2022 it was Innistrad: Double Feature, a set so poorly received Wizards is returning for a second attempt at a best-of set based on one of the game's most popular aircraft.
Innistrad Remastered provides cards from each previous visit to Innistrada world of werewolves, spirits, vampires and zombies. Including cards from the original block, the Shadows Over Innistrad block, and Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow, this should be the carefully curated draft environment we all hoped Double Feature would be.
It's even been revealed that the set will include one of the game's best vampire commanders, with the original Edgar Markov as one of the set's key hunting cards.
This will likely be the first remastered set as well includes double-sided cardsas they are a central part of Innistrad's identity.
Aetherdrift – February 14, 2025
The first of six Standard-legal sets In 2025, Aetherdrift is an Omenpath-powered death race across three planes. Each team of racers will pick up one of the ten color pairs, doing this a faction in disguise.
As we whiz about Kaladesh, Amonkhet and main set debut of MuragandaAetherdrift will feature tons of synergies for artifacts and, in particular, vehicles.
It's a nice change after the enchantment-heavy Twilight Sorrow, and to see former planeswalker Daretti makes a return after so long away is always appreciated.
Because it's a big set, Aetherdrift will start with the entire array of Play and Collector boosters, bundles and Commander decks in February.
Tarkir: Dragonstorm – April 11, 2025
Tarkir has long been one of the settings that players have most often asked about a return toand it finally happens after a decade away in Tarkir: Dragonstorm.
This set is meant to combine the main things we loved with the last two big sets there. While the tricolor clans were erased from history in the original Tarkir block, they return in Dragonstormnext the cruel dragons which made Dragons of Tarkir so good in its own way too.
So far we haven't seen any cards from it, but reveals have confirmed it Ugin and Sarkhan Vol are both back. Why isn't Ugin watching over Nicol Bolas? Who knows, but Sarkhan looks like he's having the time of his life.
While we haven't heard of precon decks yet, the five clans would be the perfect way to fit in 2025's big Commander release.
Final Fantasy – June 13, 2025
Final Fantasy marks a major turning point for Magic: The Gathering. It is other full Universes Beyond crossover seet follows The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, but it's more important than that.
With this set, Universes Beyond is becoming Default legaland by extension too legal in Modern and Pioneer.
Final Fantasy will feature cards based on each numbered mainline game, even Final Fantasy 16. Art revealed so far confirms the likes of Emet, Kefka, Tidus, Yuna, and Sephiroth, as well as series icons like Moogles.
We will also be getting Commander decks, bundles and Play and Collector boosters in what is described as most pieces of Final Fantasy art ever released for a single game.
It will be interesting to see what impact it has on the game, and if FF15's Ignis isn't a new mattoken-centric legendary, I'll be very disappointed.
Edge Of Eternities – August 1, 2025
Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty 2022 showed us that Magic: The Gathering can do sci-fiand Edge of Eternities takes it a step further. We're blasting away for a space-based set full of air battleships, planets and cyborgs.
We currently know very little about Edge of Eternities, other than that it will introducing Aliens to Standard for the first time and present the return of Tezzeret. He was last seen working both for and against Phyrexia during its invasion of the multiverse, so he could be up to practically anything.
With this set, Default will rotate again and we say goodbye to Dominaria United, The Brothers' War, Phyrexia: All Will Be One, March Of The Machine and March Of The Machine: The Aftermath.
This will be final rotation to early 2027when it starts following calendar years instead of fall releases.
Spider-Man – TBA 2025
The second of three Universes Beyond sets slated for 2025 is also the first major crossover with Marvel, which was announced nearly two years earlier. Showcasing Spidey, his allies and of course his villains, it's interesting to see an entire set focused on just one part of the Marvel Universe.
As with Final Fantasy, Spider-Man will be legal in Standard, Modern, and Pioneerwhich means it will enjoy the entire tentpole range of boosters, decks, bundles and boxes. It's coming too will likely get at least a few Secret Lair releases like, because you can't have someone as big as Spider-Man and not go all out on it.
We don't have that a concrete release date for Spider-man yet, but it will likely launch in the same slot as 2024's Duskmourn: House of Horror, around the end of September.
Unannounced Universes Beyond Set – TBA 2025
The final standard-legal set in 2025 is also the one we know the least about. Currently codenamed UUB – Unannounced Universes Beyond – it's a full crossover similar to Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy and Spider-Man. The only catch is we don't know what it is yet.
We know it's not Marvelas lead designer Mark Rosewater has confirmed as much. It's also a new feature we haven't seen in Magic before, ruling out Warhammer, Lord of the Rings, Arcane, Assassin's Creed, Fallout, Doctor Who, Fortnite, Tomb Raider, Stranger Things, and Street Fighter.
Guesses range from this far Avatar: The Last Airbender to Star Trekbut it will be a long time before we get confirmation of exactly what it is.
“Return To Lorwyn” – Q1 2026 These images are from previous trips to Lorwyn (and its evil version, Shadowmoor), as nothing of this has been shown yet.
The first standard set from 2026 brings us back to another heavily requested plan, with Celtic Fantasy by Lorwyn makes a surprise return. Unfortunately, the announcement of Unannounced Universes Beyond was set at 2024's MagicCon: Vegas pushed back Lorwyn from late 2025 to early 2026.
Lorwyn was not a popular set when it was first launched, but its mix of Celtic imagery, the introduction of Kindred themes and its Fairies, Elves, Kithkin, Goblins and Merfolk made it one of its most unique. We've seen poorly received first outings come back as all-timers lately, with both Kamigawa and Ixalan, so maybe Lorwyn is next on that list?
Lorwyn should be started with Play and Collector boosters and a set of Commander decks, but with so much time until release there's a good chance the product line-up could change by then.
“Return to Arcavios” – Q2 2026 These images are from 2021's Strixhaven: School of Mages.
The most distant set we know of is a return to Arcaviosthe planet where 2021's Strixhaven: School of Mages is based. While the name suggests we may see more of the wider plane, it will also include a return to the Strixhaven school and its five colleges.
Strixhaven has had a lasting impact on Magic, with many of its characters since appearing in other sets – Quintorius Kand in The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, and Zimone Wola in Duskmourn, for example. We can probably expect another set focused on moments and spellsand probably also the return of well-received mechanics like magecraft.
This will likely be the third set will be launched in 2026after an unannounced early in the year, and Lorwyn a few months after that. That should include Play and Collector boosters and Commander decks, but with well over a year until we start seeing more of that, Magic could be very different by then.
