Dragon Ball kicks! Zero has made waves as a fantastic successor to the classic Budokai Tenkaichi series. The game retains its spiritual predecessor's talent for a colossal character roster while allowing individual fighters, even across their various forms, to feel and play in a way that is unique and true to their anime or manga portrayals.

Dragon Ball: Kicking! ZERO Trophy Guide
There are 50 trophies in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, most of which can be unlocked by playing through each saga in Episode Battle mode.
But for many fans, the expectations of this game are not only in how dynamic and fun the combat feels, nor how vivid and faithful the graphics are, but in their chance to play characters from Dragon Ball universe that has for too long been stuck in the periphery of the franchise, relegated to mobile and card games. These characters in particular are making waves when they take the stage in their first real fighting game debut within Dragon Ball series.
This is all about
Dragon Ball
fighting game because basically all characters are available in
Doll battle
or
Heroes
.
Anilaza
An eerie fusion from Super
- Unlock Method: Complete the Tournament Of Power for the first time
- Price: 120,000 Zeni (Level 1)
Anilaza is a strange, alien beast – a huge beast in the anime, but can talk in the manga. It is the product of Universe 3's secret fusion technology, and in the anime this fighter was strong enough to even put Goku on the ropes, mostly due to its incredible strength and the power of its ki blasts, two things reflected in its in-game statistics. Like many of the characters from the universe beyond the classic Dragon Ball one, Anilaza's design seems to be a departure from the typical DB style.
Anilaza is one of the strongest giants in the series, and although they are a very expensive lock Sparkling! Zeroplayers will find this massive beast's powers well worth the cost as it wreaks havoc in its first real video game debut.
Kakunsa
A hard hitting Universe 2 Fighter
- Unlock Method: Complete the bonus battle “Who is the Supersonic Warrior?”
- Price: 90,000 Zeni (Level 1)
Kakunsa is a Universe 2 fighter known for his wicked strength and speed. She has a human-like alter ego in the anime, but does all of her fighting in the Kamikaze Fireballs group as a blue-skinned, vaguely feline alien. She is among the more obscure fighters to make Sparkling! Zero list, and hopefully more alternate universe fighters will join the fold through upcoming DLC, but she's still a high-flying and dynamic fighter for players to get used to.
Other members of the Kamikaze Fireballs are also available in Dragon Ball kicks! Zeroand players can slowly unlock, and then deploy, the entire team in the game's various battle modes. The introduction of such an amount Super characters has greatly broadened the available fighters – and their various forms.

Dragon Ball: Kicking! Zero – How to live broadcast
Instant Transmission is a very versatile part of your moveset in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero so here's how to use it effectively.
Kale (Berserk Super Saiyan)
Universe 6's legendary Saiyan
- Unlock Method: Complete “Vegeta's Promise” in Future Trunk's Battle
- Price: 60,000 Zeni (Level 1)
Kale is seen to have many destructive forms throughout her appearance in Dragon Ball Superbut none as much as her Bearsack form, which mirrors Broly's own incredibly powerful Bearsack Super Saiyan form. In this form, Kale lives up to the reputation of a massively powerful, completely demonic and violently unbalanced Super Saiyan with the same level of dangerous power that humans have seen Broly struggle to deal with ever since. Dragon Ball Z.
Also similar to Broly, Kale in his standard form is very humble and shy. This seems to be a running trend among Legendary Super Saiyans as, like Broly, she becomes violent and destructive, overwhelmed by incredible power, once she achieves her Legendary Super Saiyan state. While Kale has appeared in games before, and her more controlled Super Saiyan state has as well, Sparkling! Zero is the first title to showcase her raw, destructive fury in her berserk state.
Kale is playable in
Xenoverse 2
as a DLC character, but only her Super Saiyan 2 form is available. She is also a non-playable character in
FighterZ
.
Rose
Another Universe 2 Warrior
- Unlock Method: Complete the Bonus Battle: “Neo Tri-Beam is fully powerful like never before!”
- Price: 90,000 Zeni
Rounding out the new additions from Universe 2 team Kamikaze Fireballs is Roasie, another fast-paced fighter who can dish out large amounts of damage while showing deep affection and care towards her Universe 2 teammates. Roasie is also on the cheaper side of the available fighters , which is good, because even though Zeni is given out pretty quickly in this game, it's in chunks at first unless a player plans to wish for more.
Players can complete the entire Kamikaze Fireballs team Sparkling! Zerowhich is a big boon for anyone who was a big fan of their look in the anime or manga.
