Pokemon Scarlet and Violet announced that two new events, a Five-Star Tera Raid Series and a Mass Outbreak, will go live on the third weekend of October. These new ones Pokemon Scarlet and Violet events will allow players to go after some rare animals that would normally require trading to obtain.

The new events will begin just days after the departure of Infernape the Unrivaled, a seven-star Tera Raid boss. While Infernape can normally be obtained in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by catching and evolving a Chimchar, the Flame Pokémon came with some unique traits and gave the most powerful badge to players who won it. Considering that Infernape was Rock-type as Tera-type, the agile boss was made vulnerable to attacks from Fighting Pokemon. Thus, Pokémon trainers designed strategies around Kommo-o and Malamar to exploit Infernape's weaknesses. With Infernape now out of Tera Raid dens, only time will tell which Pokémon will be featured next.

The five-star Tera Raid event will feature Armarouge, Ceruledge, Stonjourner and Eiskue.
