A LEGO fans took to social media to show off an impressive build of a Big Daddy from BioShock series, which they made after a MOC from another builder. LEGO BioShock the creator also made a minifigure of Jack, the main character from the first game, to go along with the Big Daddy figure they created.
In short, a MOC build stands for “My Own Creation”, a term for LEGO builds made without following a specific blueprint or plan. MOC builds allow LEGO fans to create a few builds using parts from multiple sets and put them together to create a location or character that may or may not already have a kit. For example, a LEGO fan created an endoskeleton bust of the T-800 from Terminator franchise with multiple components from various LEGO kits. While officially licensed sets have been one of LEGO's main selling points, fan creativity has allowed MOC builds to evolve.

BioShock Fan Shares Awesome Big Daddy LEGO MOC Build
While BioShock fans have made their own creative tributes to Big Daddy over the years, one fan chose to make a LEGO build of the franchise's iconic nemesis. On LEGO and BioShock subreddits, a Redditor named SgtBlackDeer shared a MOC build of a Bouncer Big Daddy that they made using a mix of brown, gray, gold, and red parts. SgtBlackDeer stated that they took the Big Daddy design from a content creator named FinCantBuild and modified the head to be a little rounder in comparison. Bouncer Big Daddy had a drill for its right hand, with several gray, brown and gold pieces forming its arms and legs. Big Daddy's cage was made with some gold tubing, with smaller parts in place of the lights on the helmet. In the back, Big Daddy had two gray oxygen tanks, with a red valve on top of one of them.
The Big Daddy was a constant presence in the first two BioShock games, often together with a Little Sister on whom they depend. Big Daddies are extremely protective of the little sisters they bond with and will become aggressive if any threats approach them. The most common variant of the Big Daddy is the Bouncer, complete with a drill that can drill through most materials. Although Big Daddies is an iconic figure in BioShock series, they did not appear in 2017 BioShock Infinite.
Alongside the Big Daddy figure, SgtBlackDeer made a Jack minifigure to go next to it for scale. In response, some fans asked SgtBlackDeer to show others BioShock builds in the future. Given that May has been a busy month for LEGO fans looking to purchase a new set for their own creators, it remains to be seen how many fans will be inspired to create their own BioShock– buildings with a theme.

When it comes to BioShock series, while BioShock 4 development has been slower than expected, 2K CEO Strauss Zelnick said he was more optimistic about the project than before. Although fans will have to wait for more information on BioShock the future of the series, time will tell if a Big Daddy appears in the next game.
