Diablo 4 update fixes accidental pit and tower portal errors

The latest Diablo 4 Patch notes for Hotfix 4 were revealed by Blizzard, bringing the game up to version 3.0.1. While it's only a very small update, it provides an important fix for an issue that caused Tower and Pit players to miss out on loot and Glyph upgrades. In the initial Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred Patch Notes Blizzard added a portal that would automatically be created after players completed their Tower and Pit runs. This portal took players out of the area and offers a quick way to exit the minigame. The problem is that once players leave, they cannot return to pick up any missed loot. The portal spawned in areas where players accidentally clicked on it and left the area immediately before they could pick up their loot and upgrade their glyphs after a Pit return. To address this, Blizzard has removed the portal altogether, claiming that “Our intent in adding this portal was for QoL, but it missed the mark.”

The hotfix also includes some small fixes for various issues, including one where “Nemesis boss lairs can be farmed infinitely by grouping with other players and switching difficulties.” Any players who were unable to progress during The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit due to a softlock bug are also in luck, as Blizzard claims that this issue has been resolved.
