Demon's Souls has received a new update in October 2025, bringing the game to version 1.007.000. The update follows a fairly recent update to the PlayStation 5, which enables a new PlayStation feature for Demon's Souls.
A 2020 remake of the original PS3 game, Demon's Souls was received as a major success after years of fan demand for it to happen. While the game has been largely dormant with a lack of significant updates as of late, a new one has now been released, giving players another way to enjoy the game.

Demon's Souls has now been updated to version 1.007, giving the game the ability to play with the new Power Saver feature on the PlayStation 5. The Power Saver mode was added to PlayStation 5 consoles back in September 2025, but only a few games have announced plans to use it. One of these was Demon's Soulswhich has now kept its promise, while the remaining games are Death Stranding 2: On the Beachand Ghost of Yotei. Those who haven't used the power saving feature yet and want to check it out can easily enable it. Players just need to go to the settings screen, then system, power saving mode and then enable power saving mode. At this time, it is not known what other games will be added to the Power Save compatible list or when they will be added.
