Despite its troubled launch back in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 eventually became one of the most popular titles of recent years. After several patches and the release of Phantom freedom DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 sold over 30 million copies, becoming CDPR's second best-selling title, behind only The Witcher 3.

Now, CD Projekt Red has revealed that on December 10th, which marks the fourth anniversary of the game's launch, it will have a stream focused on the upcoming update 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077starting at 17:00 CET. Unfortunately, the developers have yet to reveal the new content introduced in the update, and CDPR's global community manager Marcin Momot only confirmed a couple of changes that won't be available. One of them is Cyberpunk 2077 won't be getting a PS5 Pro update, as previously stated by CDPR, and the other is that the 2.2 update won't offer a new game plus. At least Momot promised “some other cool stuff in the oven” for the stream.

This is not the only thing Cyberpunk 2077-related news has appeared recently. Last month, CD Projekt Red confirmed that another Cyberpunk 2077 animation project is currently in development with Netflix. The previous one Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a huge hit, so it makes sense to continue the trend by releasing a new animation. Unfortunately, no more details have been released about the project, which won't necessarily be a direct sequel to Edgerunnerswhich was planned as a complete story from the beginning.
Despite the upcoming update for Cyberpunk 2077CDPR's main focus at the moment is next Witcher game. Back in November, the developer revealed it The Witcher 4 has entered full-scale production, and most of the resources of the Polish studio will be focused on its completion. Currently, it is still unknown when the fourth part of Witcher franchise will be released, but this news may indicate that the project won't be available until 2026, given how long the development of huge, open-world games tends to be. Hopefully, CDPR will provide more information about the upcoming entry for the popular franchise soon, though.
