The developers at Pearl Abyss refuse to take a break. After rolling out several updates to improve Crimson Desert's launch build, they continued to add more content, even when fans didn't ask for it. Most recently, the studio promised to fix the game's weakest point, its story. You'd think this would mean a break between the constant updates, but that's clearly not the case.
Crimson Desert just got a new update. Which adds features like reblock protection, a bunch of medieval arcade games, and, you guessed it, more special mounts. At this rate. Kliff will be able to mount almost every creature in the game. It seems the developers haven't heard the community's plea to take a well-deserved break.
An endless desert of updates
In addition to fixes and tweaks, patch 1.10.00 includes a lot of new content. First is a protection from the reblock system. The system was initially put in place to give you enemies to fight after wiping each blockade off the map. The system has been further developed to include “Battle” and “Reconstruct” phases. In addition, you can also request “protection” via contributions, to better defend your strongholds.
But if fighting isn't your thing, and you just want to have a good time in Pywel, the developers have introduced two new minigames. The Pinball minigame has been added to the Delesyian Institute, while you can play the Orb Roll at the Great Gate of Urdavah. Both of these games will reward you with tickets that can be exchanged for money, cosmetics, Abyss Artifact and gear.
Now, the content you've actually been waiting for. After giving us the ability to adopt and raise Kuku Bird chicks and Baby Wyverns, you'll finally be able to use them as special mounts. At this rate, it feels like the developers are overcompensating for the initial complaints about the lack of mounts.
Additionally, you will now be able to remove Abyss Gear from locked items and gain access to carpets if you are looking to remodel Kliff's home. Some changes have also been made to the controller layout, allowing for customization.
