Success in a world filled with supernatural threats depends on the arbitrary factor to awaken hunters -or not. People who awaken such powers often jump on the opportunity to make a career transition with the hope of achieving fame and wealth.

Unfortunately, not everyone is prepared for the challenging life in the future, and some die without ever realizing their dreams. Based on their backgrounds, personalities and hunter ranks, here are some of the characters in the series that should never have become hunters.

Yoon Kijoong

Survival of the Red Gate Incident

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 50

Kijoong Was one of the many hunters from the White Tiger Guild who unfortunately became involved in the Red Gate incident. He was abandoned by his RAID team leader Kim Chul because he was too weak. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as Yoon ended up in Sung Jinwoo's group and survived the trial without even a scratch.

But Kijoong hardly did anything throughout the raid and even began to cry abundantly as soon as he got out of the red gate. His behavior marked his unprofessional and irresponsible nature. Yoon should have chosen a safe career for himself, because he couldn't even handle a raid where he was always protected and never had to fight once.

He song-yi

Jinah's friend

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 11

He song-yi Lost from school to focus on her career as a hunter when she started making decent money. But much of the money she made was from just being an extra, because Jinwoo and Jinho needed more people to access a prison legal.

As an e-ranker, Song-Yi was intended for disappointment in the hunters' world, just like Jinwoo before his second awakening. It was never really meaningful why she was so determined to choose such a uncertain path. Although it is not a bad thing to try, a hunter comes with potential consequences, death is one of them. He should have stayed in school and focused on doing so in any other industry, unless she experienced a second awakening like Jinwoo.

4

Song chi-yul

Survivor of Double Dungeon -incident

Song chi-yul led the convicted raid party in the D-Rank port where the deadly dual dungeon was discovered. The traumatic experience of the event had deep psychological effects on the people involved. But Song lost his injuries and only felt regret because he was not a good leader.

I would like to spend what I have left to contribute to society.

As a Magic-class Hunter punched chi-yul always over its weight, thanks to his experience. While he was a good fighter, Song would have been much better at being a mentor or swordsmanship instructor. In fact, he was such a skilled swordman that even S-RANK HUNTER CHA HAE-IN used to learn from him. As a hunter, he could never achieve much success because of the stiff structure for hunter-ranking that was beyond his control. Chi-Yul should have focused on its strengths and served society in other ways.

3

Yoo Jinho

Jinwoo's closest allies

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 19

Yoo Jinho Has Sung's friend since the day he stood up for him in front of Hwang Dongsuk and his corrupt raid team. But from the beginning it was clear that he was not the type of person who should be a hunter in the first place. Jinhoo lacked the skill or strength to influence during the dungeon.

Family

Solo -Leveling: Is Sung Jinwoo the new face of overpowered anime MCS?

Jinwoo is very strong, but is he the face of the exaggerated MCS?

Some fans will not agree, as he did a good job when working with Jinwoo at Ahjin Guild. But his success can be attributed to his management and negotiation skills, which had nothing to do with being a hunter. He may not have been qualified to be a vice guild master if he was not a licensed hunter, but Jinho could still have helped Sunging to run Guilden in any other role. Eventually, his hunter was abilities for little help, so it is fair to conclude that Yoo would have been better at not being a hunter.

2

Lee Joohee

Sung Jinwoos old friend

Lee Joohee Is a B-Rank healer who had been friends with Sung Jinwoo long before his second awakening. She was always by his side and even when others looked down at him, Lee made sure Jinwoo never felt alone.

To be honest, you were injured so much that it became quite annoying. I thought you were stupid and in vain sometimes. But you always managed to survive. These eyes, filled with life, seemed as if they were screaming for survival … for tomorrow!

Unlike most people in the Hunter industry, Lee's compassion was, as reckless competition often took the center and selfless friendships were rare. While there were a lot of things that made Joohee an amazing person to have in the team, her shy nature often made everything else irrelevant. Sometimes she was so frightened that she would freeze when things became rough and failed to perform her tasks.

As a hunter, it is expected that people in a RAID team work together, especially when push will shoot, because small decisions can be the difference between life and death. Joohee's fear made it difficult for her to collaborate with others to the best of her ability, which is why she failed to grow and stopped retiring prematurely. Lee's compassion and kindness make her better suited for a bunch of other responsibilities, but being a hunter is not one of them.

1

Lee Minsung

Asia's biggest movie star

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 67

Lee Minsung Is an A-ranker, so it would be dishonest to claim that he was too weak to be a hunter. In fact, hunters of his rank are sometimes chosen by Guilder to lead Raid on low -ranked dungeons. So, what makes Lee Minsung inappropriate to be a hunter? Although it is true that he is corrupt and self -centered, it is just not a sufficiently good reason to reject someone who potentially is a good hunter, because people like Goto Ryuji were not different but achieved enormous success.

Family

Solo leveling: 8 characters that are stronger than national hunters

These solo -nive characters can easily beat hunters at national level.

But Minsung never really wanted to be a hunter to begin with. He used his unique privileges to become vice guild champion in the enemy Guild just to sway public opinion to his advantage after avoiding the Korean military draft. This was the only reason why he ever officially became a hunter. Since he never wanted to serve a hunter and did pretty well as an actor already, Lee Minsung should have avoided becoming a hunter completely and used other means to polish his public image.
