The Seventh Hokage of Konoha, Naruto Uzumaki is an extremely important character in the overall story of Borutodespite not being its main character. It is clear at this point in the Boruto series that Naruto Uzumaki needs a significant boost to his overall strength. After losing Kurama, Naruto Uzumaki is no longer as strong as he once was, and this is especially true since it seems that he has also lost his connection to the other Tailed Beasts with Kurama's death. Although Naruto Uzumaki demonstrated the use of a superior version of Sage Mode in Boruto Chapter 64 on November 19, 2021, his overall powers are still not enough to take on the threat of the likes of Shinju or the future Otsutsuki that may appear in the story.

To that end, Naruto Uzumaki needs significant upgrades, and these upgrades have already become a reality considering the fact that Sasuke Uchiha has gained immense strength during this time jump. At one point in Boruto, Sasuke couldn't even scratch Jigen in battle, even with the support of Naruto Uzumaki. But as was clear from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 5 December 20, 2023 Sasuke was able to injure Code and take his eye from him without even having his Rinnegan, despite Code being much stronger than Jigen. Apparently Sasuke trained with Boruto during the time jump and achieved a higher strength. With that, it's practically confirmed that Naruto Uzumaki will also grow in terms of strength when he returns, and one of the ways he can potentially do this is through the use of scientific ninja technology.
Ever since the beginning of Boruto series, scientific ninja technology has been a pillar of its history. In fact, Naruto Uzumaki even tried out a unique scientific ninja tool in the Boruto Chapter 16 on September 11, 2017. In this particular chapter, a mechanical prosthetic hand was developed by Katasuke for Naruto specifically. This hand has immense power and is essentially a copy of Momoshiki Otsutsuki's Rinnegan.

For those who don't remember, Momoshiki had the ability to absorb all forms of chakra from his hand, which would then become his own. The other ability that he could use with his second Rinnegan was to push out this chakra by making it several times stronger. Although the absorption part of this hand prosthesis worked perfectly, Katasuke was still working on expulsion, and it was officially confirmed that this prosthesis was still a prototype and was being further developed.
Three years have passed since then, and it is highly likely that this prototype is now fully developed, meaning that upon returning Naruto Uzumaki could potentially use this new Otsutsuki Jutsu, which would make him incredibly powerful.

The return of Naruto Uzumaki is approaching Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. The new arc, which continued on June 18, 2026, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, has officially set up the return of Sasuke Uchiha at the end by placing the spotlight on Hidari and Jura. These two Shinju are growing extremely close to each other, and one of them is next in line to fall. With Hidari being the weaker of the two, it is a given that he will be taken down first, followed by the strongest of the Shinju, Jura. Hidari's defeat will officially bring back Sasuke Uchiha, meaning that shortly thereafter, Naruto Uzumaki will also return. While the wait will still be long, we know it's coming, and a power-up for Naruto Uzumaki also needs to be prepared.

Once Naruto returns, one of the easiest ways for him to get stronger would be by using this new prosthetic hand based on Momoshiki Otsutsuki's powers. The likelihood of this hand being given to Naruto is even higher given the fact that Amado, the genius scientist, is still in the village. With his high intellect, the exorcism ability of this prosthetic hand would likely have been completed as well, meaning that Naruto would officially be responsible for a powerful Otsutsuki Rinnegan Jutsu. He was then able to use it to drastically power himself up while simultaneously striking down strong enemies on the level of the Otsutsuki themselves.

Naruto Uzumaki will become stronger than before in two blue vortex
With the power of this prosthetic hand, Naruto Uzumaki would grow much stronger than before. In fact, Naruto's strength could be further enhanced if this prosthetic hand is built into his current hand made from Hashirama cells. As the story of the Naruto series established, Hashirama cells increase the overall chakra as well as regeneration speed of an individual. Most importantly, they grant Wood Release Kekkei Genkai to the user.

As such, using this new prosthetic hand, Naruto can potentially also gain the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, combined with the ability to absorb and expel chakra. These two powers combined could push Naruto to a whole new level, especially when combined with his officially upgraded Sage Mode, which was briefly showcased in Boruto Chapter 64. After all, Naruto Uzumaki's growth in terms of power is already a given, and it's only a matter of time before he achieves higher power through these unique means.
