If you're still playing Borderlands 4, it means you either just downloaded the game or you're busy farming for the perfect weapon. Since the Horrors of Kairos Halloween mini doesn't even give players much to do, farming your preferred legendary weapon is about the only choice you have. Unless you want to be among the few who have received the platinum trophy.
However, it is not easy to farm for the perfect variant of a legendary weapon. You're in for multiple runs of the same boss, with no guarantee that it will drop. And if it does, chances are it might not have the stats and perks you want. However, Borderlands 4's latest update has made farming one of its most sought-after weapons much easier.
Borderlands 4's Weekly Wildcard Mission has a guaranteed Bod Drop
This week's the wildcard mission is Below the Surfacewhich requires you help someone who has escaped an order lab. As a reward you will get a guaranteed case of the Bod Shotgunwhich is something every gunsmith wants to get his hands on. Since it is a guaranteed case, the chances of getting the variant you want are much higher.
Usually you have to farm a boss to get Bod and ask RNGsus for a good drop, but the wildcard quest has made it much easier. Rushing through the mission shouldn't take more than eight to ten minutes, making the process much faster and smoother than facing a boss, even with a broken building.
As part of the weekly update, Primordial Guardian Origo steps up as the Big Encore Boss, with a tougher variant and bigger loot drop. Among the changes to the game are fixes for the Reactor mod's drop rate, balances to various weapons, and something everyone will like: a fix for the Knife Penetrator Augment, which only offered a 30 percent critical chance.
Hopefully you'll soon have something else to do in Borderlands 4 besides weapon farming. Gearbox has revealed that the game's first invincible boss will be available in Q4 2025, so expect some new activities any time now.
