Skulls are a staple in Halo series, why it comes as no surprise that 42 skulls can be collected in 13 missions The Halo campaign was developed. You can use Skulls to add unique modifiers to each missionadding further replayability to their iconic design! If you've collected a few skulls throughout the story, you might be curious about how you can use them, which we'll explain in detail below.
If you want to get all 42 skulls, make sure you click on the guide above! This will guide you through all 13 missions to get every skull in them. You can also click here to get all the terminals if you want to complete your collectibles.
How to activate skulls in Halo Campaign Evolved
When you collect a skull, you can go to the main menu and select Campaign. From here you need to select New Game. While this will override the progress of your current solo campaign, it's the only way to use Skulls, and you can choose which mission and checkpoint you've unlocked to resume your progress.
After selecting New Game, select one of the difficulty options provided. Once that's done, you can select your mission and checkpoint, which will then take you to the Select Skulls screen. From here, you can choose any of the skulls you've unlocked, and then just click “Apply & Start” to get started.
There is no way to remove these skulls unless you again click New Game like you did to activate the skulls in the first place.
