BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is a fan's dream
With a changed approach, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War has been better than fans' wildest dreams. Here's why it's a triumph.
“Breading Trailer”
Exactly what it sounds like
The trailer released this past Sunday is being called a “panning” trailer because that's exactly what it does. Instead of the full animation we saw in the 20th anniversary trailer a few weeks ago, this is a sparsely animated set of moving images and effects set against the upbeat atmosphere of The Millennium Blood War remix of Ichigo's theme song. The characters included in the trailer were five major “antagonists”, or characters that Ichigo has clashed with, and had a huge impact on his journey over the course of the story.
Like the trailer released before it, the panning trailer has fans clamoring for the original WHITEN series to get a remake in the style of The Millennium Blood War arc, but there's been no word on that being the ultimate goal for Studio Pierrot and its brand new subsidiary, PIERROT FILMS. The panning trailer was posted on YouTube with the description “Ignite your soul with timeless WHITEN memories in this 20th anniversary trailer!”
The third course of BLEACH: Thousands of Years of Blood Wars, subtitled “The Conflict”, premiered on Saturday, October 5, one year after the broadcast of the second part subtitled “The Separation”. Each course i The Millennium Blood War arc is set for 13 episodes, with a total of 52 episodes.
