How Yuki Tabata started Black Clover

Yuki Tabata has been part of the manga industry for a long time. He started working when he was only 20 years old, and then he got a job as an assistant. At one point, Yuki Tabata decided to start his own series. His Hungry Jokers had a short run but was ultimately cancelled.

After this failure, Yuki Tabata decided to change a few things, including the main character's personality. Black Clover began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2015. The run continued until August 2023, after which it moved to Jump Giga in December 2023. In terms of sales, Black Clover has sold 19 million copies.
