Dead By Daylight: Every DLC, Ranked

The developers of Dead By Daylight are constantly trying to keep things fresh with new DLC. Here are all the DLC packs so far, ranked!

These maps serve as battlegrounds for each trial, and almost all belong to a realm, containing more than one version of the same or a very similar map, some of which may be familiar from fans of certain games or movies. With so many worlds that players have the chance to be teleported to, it can be a difficult task to say which ones are the best.

9

Macmillan Estate

Decently balanced for both sides

One of the original maps that came with the base game, Macmillan Estate has stood the test of time as one of the more basic but safe choices of maps. The rusty iron mills or dilapidated buildings give the map plenty of personality, while not straying too far from a location meant for gritty realism. It's definitely the kind of place you'd imagine encountering a dangerous and ruthless killer, perhaps one who snares his prey with bear traps.

It has since had reworks since its original release, resulting in better map balance and visual effects. With the release of Skull Merchant, a version of Macmillan became her maps, complete with an alarming amount of mannequins clustered around a workshop, improving the aesthetics without upsetting the balance too drastically.

Lery's Memorial Estate

This indoor map is a medical horror

Dead by Daylight's debut full inner map, Lery's is a shocking that serves as the Doctor's realm. Consisting of a central room with some very distracting and noisy monitors, and a maze of corridors and rooms, some of which can be chained together in a loop route, there's a lot to enjoy about Lery's, but some assassins will despair when placed on it . .

Ranged assassins like the Huntress will struggle to land axes in many places for the survivors to duck in from the firing range. But assassins, especially the likes of scratched mirror Michael Myers, will benefit immensely from all these walls and obstacles that allow them to terrorize any survivor.

7

Yamaoka Estate

Home to the Spirit and Oni

The Yamoaka Estate is a realm split across two maps, the Sanctum of Wrath and the Family Residence, belonging to the Oni and the Spirit respectively. Each of these maps takes inspiration from rural Japan, resulting in beautiful scenery, if players ever have the chance to stop and admire it while running for their lives.

Best Video Games Set in Japan, Ranked

Apart from offering fascinating gameplay, these exciting video games allow players to experience the Japanese culture and lifestyle.

The Family Residence has a huge house that would have once been beautiful but is not corrupted by the entity, and the Sanctum of Wrath has a large shrine in the center, surrounded by stone statues that turn to face the player as soon as they look away from them. As if the Yamaoka Estate isn't creepy enough already…

6

Midwich Primary School

Explore the spooky school from Silent Hill

Despite Behavior collecting horror movie IPs like they're Pokémon cards, few fans anticipated that they'd be hitting deals with developers to feature characters and locations from their games, especially Konami, which until recently was content that left Silent Hill in limbo. Expectations were dashed when they revealed that Cheryl Mason, Pyramid Head and Midwich Elementary were headed to the fog, and all three proved popular and successful.

With two separate floors, easter eggs and even an unlockable secret, there's a lot to enjoy about Midwich as you try to run to the nearest generator, which may be on a completely different floor. While navigating this map can take some getting used to, there's no denying that there's an impressive amount of detail that even non-Silent Hill fans could appreciate.

5

Raccoon City Police Department

From Resident Evil 2 Fame

The Resident Evil crossover was one that was met with much excitement and fanfare from gamers, who were happy to see another legendary gaming IP join the mist, along with Silent Hill. The first one RE crossover brought in Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Nemesis, and the Raccoon City Police Department, with many familiar rooms and locations that fans would recognize from the game.

The problem with the original map was the sheer scale of it, as Behavior wanted to cram as many iconic locations into it as possible. The police department was eventually split into two, the east and west wings, to make a more manageable map without sacrificing any of the iconic scenery.

4

Coldwind Farm

Gets inspiration from movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre

While these maps are part of the base game, there is nothing fundamental about them, especially after the reworks that drastically improved the viability of this world. Taking clear inspiration from films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacreversions of Coldwind include tall cornfields, slaughterhouses, and large farmhouses, all perfect for hiding or hunting.

The rework brought light to the realm, and while this made these maps less terrifying, sneaky assassins can still cause tension, and the light gives bonus visibility to both sides of the trial. Coldwind remains one of the most famous and all-around best worlds in the entire game.

3

Decimated Borgo

Home to the Dungeons and Dragons map

Decimated Borgo adds some missing medieval flair to the game. Originally a self-contained realm for the knight, with a very red map modeled after a medieval village with portcullises as exit gates out of the realm.

Family

Best D&D Campaign Settings, Ranked

Dungeons and Dragons is home to some of the best fantasy environments. Here are the best, ranked.

This alone is enough to give Decimated Borgo plenty of brownie points, but the inclusion of Dungeons and dragons added a second map to the realm that surpassed the first. With a beautiful purple mysterious room, portals that players can jump through to make a quick escape, and an imprisoned beholder that will lunge at the bars of a passing survivor, there's plenty of D&D style to make this map stand out from the rest.

2

The Grave of Glenvale

Plenty of Western goodness

A spaghetti western is probably not what fans imagine ever having a place in Dead in daylightbut Grave of Glenvale brings plenty of Wild West goodness into the fog. Arriving alongside the Deathslinger assassin, this map features a picturesque sunset, lots of wooden buildings and sheds, cacti and, of course, a saloon in the middle of it all.

This realm has yet to receive any other maps outside of Dead Dawg Saloon, but with a map as fun, aesthetically pleasing, and with plenty of walls that offer fun and challenging hunts for both killers and survivors, no other map within this realm would could ever hope to match the original. While it's far from perfect and the theme won't appeal to everyone, Grave of Glenvale is still a strong contender for the best worlds in the entire game.

1

Mount Ormond

A surviving site with a snow-covered resort

Mount Ormond is one of the older maps in the game, implemented along with the release of Legion quarter of killers, and survivor Jeff. It was the third map to have weather effects, and so far the only one to show snow. Despite being a resort, there are few comforts survivors will find here with a merciless killer stomping around the grounds, intent on killing them.

The map is notorious for being more survivor-leaning, with many strong loop points, unmatched lines of sight, and the central gen set in a massive building that skilled survivors can drag assassins around for quite some time. But with how open much of the map is, ranged killers can also take advantage of Mount Ormond's design.
