Metaphor: ReFantazio – All difficulty settings and differences
There are five difficulty settings in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each making the game increasingly difficult in certain ways. Here's the breakdown.
One of these familiar mechanics is spells equipped with Persona-like entities tied to classes known as archetypes. Instead of coming up with new names for spells, Metaphor: ReFantazio just reusing them to help fans better understand their features. Not all spells are 1:1 recreations but Persona fans will definitely recognize some like Dei who heals, which is like Dia. So, for the early hours, let's go over some useful spells.
5 Elemental spells
Learn how to handle Blizz, Bot, Cyc, Hama, Kande and Mudo
- Archetypes: Seeker, Mage, Healer and Thief
As Persona series, players can easily hit on monsters' weaknesses if they diversify their party with elemental attacks i Metaphor: ReFantazio. For example, Mage Archetyoe can teach characters the spells Blizz, Bot, and Kande. Blizz is ice based, Bot is fire based and Kande is electric based. Cyc is a wind game connected to the Seeker Archetype which is the starting class for Metaphor: ReFantazio's the main character Will. The Seeker also has a stronger version called Cyclo to blow away the competition.
Then there is the Healer Archetype which can not only restore HP characters but deal damage via the light based attack, Hama. The counterweight to Hama is the darkness spell, Mudo, which is part of the Thief Archetype. It will take some time for players to get this one as it belongs to Heismay, the fourth party in the team. If players use Skill Inheritance on their archetypes i Metaphor: ReFantazio or perhaps use some accessories to provide extra spells, then they can be ready for any battle situation.
4 Media
Heal the Party In Battle
The first healing spell that will become available to players is called Dei. It's part of the Seeker Archetype, which gives players a great way to heal without wasting items. But there is a better healing spell they can get not long after this called Medi.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – All Stats Explained
There are five stats for the protagonist and his companions to level up in Metaphor: ReFantazio; here's what each one does.
Medi can be learned through the Healer Archetype and it will restore some HP to each party member in the group. During busy encounters, it's strategically wiser to waste a turn healing the whole party rather than three turns healing them individually. It makes mathematical sense which is why these types of group healing spells are so valuable in RPGs with White Mage-like classes. Medi will be especially useful for players when they get into more boss battles or bounty hunts in the game.
3 Patra
Cure diseases in battle
Patra is another good healing spell from the Healer Archetype. This spell can cure status effects on party members during combat. For example, a teammate can be poisoned which will drain HP every turn for a random amount of time. They can also suffer paralysis which can randomly cause characters to not act on their turn.
There are purchasable in-game items that can cure these ailments, but then there's Patra: a one-stop solution to most ailments. It doesn't cost much MP to use but there is a setback. Unfortunately it won't be effective on the whole group like Medi but it's valuable nonetheless. It can save players money, which is called Reeve in Metaphor: ReFantazioby not having to waste it on many items.
2 Gold attack
Throw money at target for non-elemental damage
Metaphor: ReFantazio and that Persona comics have a lot in common. For example, non-elemental damage is referred to as Almighty damage, meaning it originates from gods. Gold Attack is an almighty skill and it will literally throw money at enemies for an impressive amount of damage. This isn't the first game to use money as a weapon like Yuffie, the party member from Final Fantasy 7could cast changes on monsters as well.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – How to Raise Archetypes Fast
Archetypes level up separately from your party members in Metaphor: ReFantazio; here's how to quickly level up specifics.
Now, throwing away currency is never recommended in an RPG. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Also, if players accumulate a huge amount of money, they can spend it however they want, whether it's on shops or destroying large swathes of enemies. It should also be mentioned that this is an early skill from the Merchant Archetype.
1 Steal
Rob from enemies to find rare items
Steal is another common skill, spell or what have you in an RPG usually assigned to thief based classes. It shouldn't surprise anyone then that there is a thief archetype in it Metaphor: ReFantazio. It can literally steal items from monsters and they can be common or rare. For example, there is a process called purification i Metaphor: ReFantazio where a priest in the capital city of Grand Trad can upgrade weapons.
To do this he needs special items like Blessed Water. Blessed Water can be found in dungeons or rewarded through battle but it can also be stolen from monsters called Imitecs which are like Mimics in other RPGs. A skill like Steal can change any roleplay and players may have to wait a bit to get it. Either way, this invaluable skill is worth the wait and players will want to try using Steal on any enemies or bosses that come their way.
