After 10 years have Fate franchise will soon get its first spinoff game in the upcoming Destiny: Rising. Developed by NetEase Games, Rising is currently in its pre-alpha development stage with early testers able to get a chance to play the game on November 1st later this year. Unlike Fate 1 or 2, Destiny: Rising is a mobile game intended for IOS and Android platforms, not consoles. While Rising may look similar in appearance and gameplay at first glance, Destiny: Rising will feature several new features in addition to long-time classics Fate fans have become accustomed to.

Destiny: Rising's Place on The Timeline Explained
Bungie and NetEase Games recently revealed the spin-off title Destiny: Rising, set in a time Destiny fans have never seen before.
Destiny: Rising's classic features explained
Despite being a mobile game, Destiny: Rising will still play the same as both Fate 1 and 2. All three games are primarily first-person shooters focused on PvE scenarios that can be completed either in co-op or solo. Some recurring PvE scenarios include campaign missions, destination exploration, and strike missions. While Destiny: Rising set in an alternate universe during a time period before the construction of the Tower or the formation of the Vanguard and formal Crucible matches, players will still be able to go head-to-head in online PVP matches. Both PvE and PvP scenarios are expected to be replayable, as most are Destiny 2.
As for weapons, players will still be able to find or purchase a variety of primary weapons to use in both PvE and PvP instances. Despite Destiny: Rising set shortly after The Collapse, when many exotic weapons were first created, players will still be able to find and choose from countless powerful exotic weapons to add to their arsenal. Rising players will also still be able to customize their own Guardians through the selection of different species, genders, classes, armor and other cosmetics. Once players create their Guardians, they'll be looking to still interact with multiple vendors and fight familiar forces of darkness like the Fallen and Vex.
Destiny: Rising's new features explained
Fates core gameplay and aesthetic will return Destiny: Risingbut there are several new changes that may give veteran Guardians pause when they first play the upcoming mobile game. First, while players can still build their own Guardian, named Wolf in this game, they can also play as other legendary light bearers like Ikora Rey, each with their own unique abilities. Combat will not be limited to first person as Rising will offer the option to play in third person, an option only seen in mainline Fate game when using vehicles and relics or performing emotes. Each player can further play in their own unique fighting style, unfettered by typical Hunter, Titan and Warlock mechanics.
Special and heavy weapon slots will not re-enter Destiny: Rising and is instead replaced by a singular Power weapon slot. Primary and power weapons aren't the only tools available to Guardians, however, as each Guardian will be equipped with their own unique relic that can be modified with two signature abilities and various perks. For example, Wolf can equip auto rifles for primary weapons and grenade launchers for power weapons, while Kabr can use the thunder shield for his relic, similar to the Aegis found in the glass vault. Destiny: Rising will also introduce an entirely new weapon class beyond Exotics called Mythic, with a Mythic weapon revealed to be a type of crossbow.
Destiny: Rising's new game modes
While Destiny: Rising will play the same as the main line Fate game, Rising will introduce several new game modes for players to try. Instead of regular strike missions, Rising will feature Haven Ops Strikes expected to complete within minutes and presumably named after Risings main hub area, Haven. For a bigger challenge, players can try the raid-like Gauntlet Ops. In addition to Haven Ops Strikes and Gauntlet Ops, players can fight the forces of darkness and Guardians in several other, currently unknown modes, such as Morgran's Prey, Legacy, Realms of the IX, and Shifting Gates. Players registering for Destiny: Risings upcoming Closed Alpha will be able to try out some of these new modes for the first time.
