ARC Raiders has started its Server Slam open beta, and the game is flooding with eager players on Steam. Whether the game can carry this interest and excitement over to the full release remains to be seen, but so far it bodes well for ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders is the latest game from Embark Studios, and was announced way back in 2021. The game has gone through some changes since then, changing from a co-op third-person shooter to an extraction game with teams of 1-3 players, facing both the environment and its dangers as well as competing players in a PvPvE experience.
The ARC Raiders Server Slam is off to a great start
ARC Raiders' Server Slam Open Beta is intended to test the capabilities of the servers, and the developer seems to be getting exactly what it wanted in that regard. Although the beta launched less than 24 hours before publication, the title has already experienced a peak with over 189,000 players checking out the game, on Steam alone. Since that peak, the number has fallen slightly to 169,000, but it's likely to surpass its record over the course of the weekend, when more players have free time to jump in. The beta will run until October 19th and is free to join, so interested players shouldn't miss this opportunity to see what it's all about.
While many fans of Embark's previous games The finals have been interested in ARC Raidersit also does comparatively well with other recent big hits. Viral roguelike survival game Megabank reached around 117,000 concurrent players earlier in October, Delta Force reached 213,000 in September, while Battlefield 6s beta reached an amazing half a million concurrent players. Although it seems unlikely to catch up Battlefield 6it will be interesting to see what the final numbers will look like at the end of it ARC Raiders open beta.
Those who are interested in ARC Raiders betas should be aware that the progress they make in the game will not carry over to the full version. However, participating players can get an exclusive Server Slammer Backpack in the full version of ARC Raiders when it launches on October 30. To receive it, players should make sure to use the same Embark ID they logged into the beta with when playing the full game.
