ARC Raider's best skill tree isn't exactly obvious

Get the most out of ARC Raiders' skill trees are only part of the success of Embark's new extraction shooter. But a good skill set can make a world of difference when it comes to surviving the upper side while scavenging for weapons and materials. For this purpose, ARC Raiders has a skill tree that is essential for players looking to maximize their progression and consistently extract from matches with valuable loot.

There are three skill trees which ARC Raiders players can invest in, and each is geared toward a specific playstyle: Conditioning (green), Mobility (yellow), and Survival (red). Even if ARC Raiders players can invest points in any skill tree as they level up, some trees lock skills behind certain point investment requirements. This means players need to be careful where they invest their skill points, and a tree is rarely a bad option.

Currently, the game has no way to respect builds without completely wiping one ARC Raiders character via Expeditions, so investments in skill trees are permanent.

ARC Raiders players should not sleep on the survival tree (red).

At first glance, it may seem that Mobility is the best ARC Raiders skill tree to invest heavily in, as it can improve the player's stamina usage. Conditioning, on the other hand, makes a strong case for investment with its skills improving the player's healing ability in battle. Although it is definitely worth investing a few points in each of them ARC Raiders' skill tree, survivability will be the best long-term investment for the most successful builds.

The skill tree in ARC Raiders

Best survival skills in ARC Raiders

  • Agile Croucher – movement speed when crouching is increased
  • Looter's Instincts – when searching a container, loot is revealed faster
  • In-Round Crafting – field craft items on top
  • Silent Scavenger – make less noise when looting
  • Suffer in silence – make less noise when you move when seriously injured
  • Broad shoulders – increases the maximum number of items the player can carry
  • Looter's Luck – gives a chance for twice as many items as once
  • Security breach – adds the ability to break safes

The majority of skills in the survival tree focus on giving players more speed and stealth when raiding. The sound of footsteps and container breaks can be a big indicator that another attacker is nearby, so ARC Raiders players will want to be as quiet as possible while clearing. In-Round Crafting is also a must ARC Raiders skill, as being able to craft items like ammo and bandages during a match can often make the difference between life and death when on top.

Why investing in the ARC Raiders Survival Skill Tree is a must

arc-raiders_breach

With ARC Raiders as an extraction shooter, looting is the name of the game, and buildings that optimize the player's ability to escape with rare materials and equipment will be the most successful. When upgrading equipment depends on the player's ability to extract with the necessary materials, skills that support the player's looting ability will make this progress smooth and efficient. The survival tree prioritizes this type of game more than any other option, making it the primary tree that players should invest in.

Possibly the biggest reason to invest in the survival tree is for the security breach skill which is available as one of the last nodes of the tree. This skill sounds underwhelming compared to other ultimate nodes players can take, though ARC RaidersSafes are no joke when it comes to finding some of the game's rarest loot. These safes are not common, but usually contain at least one epic weapon. Additional loot that can be found here includes blueprints for ARC Raiders rare gear, as well as valuable crafting materials, meaning any player dedicated to loot grinding will want to invest in this skill.
